The manager Amanda and employee Camilla at the Victorias Secret Garden State Plaza Mall in NJ were amazing. Amanda went above and beyond to help me with my items at checkout with recovering my coupon/points. She was so kind and generous. Although it was a courtesy she was not overly aggressive or condescending like most managers or employees can be. Amanda is a true example of what I expect from management when customers face unforeseen or unfortunate circumstances. Human experience, customer support/service, and emotional intelligence is a huge part of why I shop or refer clients to certain brands. She immediately stopped what she was doing and listened to my situation to better service me. I really appreciated her for not brushing me off or responding passive aggressively. Camilla is such a patient, kind, and helpful sales rep. I have no doubt she will be a great asset and leader at VS. She helped me sort my items and when I returned to purchase them she delegated to another rep to help find my items. She was very knowledgeable about the items and pricing I asked about at the register. She has a very approachable personality and talks to customers with respect and a willingness to help. I had such great relief knowing that there was someone motivated to help me in every aspect of my shopping experience. Often times employees barely want to answer questions let alone provide excellent customer service, positive energy, or communication like she did. Most especially during the holidays. As a business owner and 15-year business strategist to companies we know and love I would recommend Camilla and Amanda for promotion or raise that would better serve their amazing customer service and leadership skills. They both made me feel valued as a customer Thank you Amanda and Camilla for all your help and thank you to the other employees for supporting their efforts. Sincere Thanks, Jae Pesante Business Strategist CEO of Spotlist Inc. and Fashion...
Read moreMy daughter and I went to garden state because my daughter wanted to go to a store that we donât have in Willowbrook Mall. I also took take advantage of the trip to return a pair of pajama pants I got last month and it didnât fit as pretty as I thought they would, but didnât have the receipt for it because it probably got thrown out with the holiday madness. Not to mention to take advantage of the sales at Victoria Secret for valentines goody bags as well. The manager Kelly said she could not complete the return without the receipt because the pants looked used and she needed to confirm that they were new. I showed her that part of the tag was still on the pair of pants and the tag was that way when I purchased. She said that it didnât proof that the pants were new and denied the return. She was very rude during our interaction and after denying the return over and over she just walked away and said that there was nothing else she could do. I was so upset that me and my daughter just left all the stuff we had to purchase and just left the store. I feel so bad for the employees under her management having to have a manager as dry and rude as Kelly. Judging on the reviews, if you are looking for customer service quality, especially when encountering an issue while shopping. This will be the wrong place because you will be on your own if you have an issue. This is the first time I EVER had a problem with a return at Victoriaâs Secret after shopping with the company for many many many years. I usually go to VS in the Willowbrook Mall and I have not been to this location in a while, this was a horrible experience back. NOTHING like the great customer service I get at my usual VS in Wayne at the Willowbrook Mall! Love my staff at...
Read moreI went into Victoriaâs Secret with my husband to shop for some sleepwear on Monday, June 16th, 2025. Iâve been recovering from a pretty bad sports injury, a dislocated shoulder and a fractured arm, so I donât have much mobility on my right side. Because of that, I needed help trying things on, so my husband came into the fitting room area with me just to help me put my arm into the sleeves with the tops.
As we were walking out, an employee, a older Hispanic lady with curly black hair was waiting and stopped us and immediately started criticizing/tell off my husband in front of other customers, saying men arenât allowed in this part of the store. It wasnât even a polite reminder, it felt like she was trying to publicly shame him. She told him in front of everyone not to come back into that part of the store again, which was really out of line. It was super embarrassing and completely unnecessary.
We honestly felt humiliated. We werenât doing anything wrong, just trying to shop like normal people. Today was where we both had days off and wanted to spend time together at the mall to shop and also for him to assist me trying clothes on due to my injury. Weâve been shopping at Victoriaâs Secret for years now and have never had a problem until now.
I was planning to buy three sets of sleepwear but ended up leaving the store without purchasing anything due to how uncomfortable and disrespected we felt. The day my husband and I were finally free from work where we wanted to spend time together and do some shopping, this employee ruined our mood for the rest of our day here. Definitely wonât be coming back to this Victoria's Secret...
