DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH Aarons PARIS TX .Rented a new dryer and ordered online the one that matched my washer I had paid off from them last May. The delivery guys said the new dryer electric cord would not work on my slanted 3 prong plug. Against my voiced judgment, saying "he does it all the time. Don't worry", the delivery guy took old electric cord from my 15 yr old dryer and installed it on the brand new dryer. Plugged it in and started it up. The dryer sounded horrible for a few seconds then a loud POP and Big Ole Sparks came out of dryer and from behind dryer. Delivery man calls the manager Jacob House. Jacob says on speaker to tech to just rewire it again and switch the two outside wires and see if it works. The spark, smoke and smell scared me and I told them that I didn't want them to continue and I wasn't sure I even wanted this new dryer because it may be damaged now. When I talked to Jacob he didn't believe me and acted like I was over reacting. Said they are trained to rewire dryers and this is a common occurrence to use the old dryer wire. After arguing with him he said I can take him to court he didn't care. I have rented from them without missing payments for over 10 years. They say they have refunded me but there is no record of the refund. And it's definitely not back on my card. Jacob House talked down to me and said sparks and smoke are completely normal coming from the dryer if wired wrong and I should have let the techs rewire it if I wanted the dryer so bad. When I tried to explain to Jacob that I couldn't accept a new dryer that had smoked with sparks coming out of it, he told me I shouldn't have ordered online and hung up on me. I FEEL SO HELPLESS. I made my payment online at 3:55 this morning, have the email receipt, yet Aarons manager Derek as well as the accounts manager continue to blow up my phone for a payment that has already been made. When i tried to tell him i made it he argued with me, told me i was wrong so i hung up on him and called their regional complaint office. I had asked to speak to Eva, who is THE ONLY one who has a clue in that store and he lied and said she wasn't there. She had JUST answered the phone for me. He refused to let me speak to her to give her my receipt number. This was NOT the first or only issue. I went in one time to get a price on a tv and the next thing i know, once again, my phone is being blown up for a payment on a tv I DID NOT HAVE BECAUSE I DID NOT START AN AGREEMENT!! Someone in that store took the liberty of illegally starting an agreement in my name and as a result it cost me 2 weeks of non stop harassing calls basically calling me a liar. When they finally figured out that they were wrong, NO ONE offered an apology, i only got excuses. They are the WORST if you happen to be late on a payment. They call, i tell them when i will make my payment on a certain day then the very next day i'm receiving calls. I DID report them to their regional manager and he was AMAZING! Read moreWell I’m glad I read the reviews on this place and took steps to insure my finances. I received notice from my credit card about every payment so I was aware the amount was correct before I approved it. Well last night I get a notice they are trying to pull an extra 358.00 out of my account. They separated my bedroom set because I got the better mattress. So they said. I’ve dealt with Aaron before in another town and never did they do that. But that way they can do several different draws on your account and maybe you won’t catch it. So I put a block on my account called the store last night and was told by Ashley it’s a glitch in our system. It does that from time to time. So then this morning they tried pulling the correct amount off but I still have them blocked until I talk with Tabiatha. Which I called this morning and she’s to busy to answer my call because she is waiting on another important call, but she will call me back. Seems like someone got caught and they need to figure out what story is going to work. I do not recommend doing business with this store with the staff they have. They have no integrity and I honestly can’t see how a company is big as Aaron could look over this. UPDATE!! Spoke with Tabitha which I had to call her again.
