Wanna wait in the store for an hour every time you visit? Highly recommend this place. ATT Firstnet couldn't activate a phone I purchased using the e-sim on the phone so they suggested I go to my local ATT store to get a physical sim. I walked in and explained what I needed and they said they're out of SIM cards. (ATT store is out of sim cards. Nice). So I went to Walmart and bought a physical sim card kit. Then go back and April (Rep) started making excuses as to why she couldn't activate it because it came from Walmart and isn't in their inventory. She started texting her manager back and forth about it while I'm standing there (making a small amount of effort).
30 minutes goes by and I'm standing here while she is just talking it up with another guy in the lobby. She showed no interest in my time or anyones. Next her co-workers showed up 10 minutes late and came dragging in hungover and likely stoned still from their video gaming the night before. I know this because April's boyfriend was also in the lobby hanging out giving her food, and jewelry for Christmas all while I'm waiting for a phone to be activated (simple request you would think).
45 minutes now in the lobby for the second time she finally gets on a google meeting call with her manager. Her manager walked her through the process to activate the phone. Then she gets to the plan selection and she asks which plan to select. While on speakerphone (and not realizing it) her lady manager told her to go with the higher plan and never go with the cheaper plan. I ignored what I just heard hoping not to slow them down.
Finally after an hour and 15 minutes she tells me it's activated. I asked her what plan she selected and she said she didn't remember but it's around 25 a month.
Fast Forward to today I get my bill and I'm actually on the 60.99 unlimited plan for my 11 year old daughter with $70 in activation fees that I was never told about either. I have never seen such a incompetent store full of employees. Also, dont be fooled by the good reviews. A Lot of these reviews are ATT staff...
Read moreVery disappointing. Stood in the store for 45 minutes before striking up a conversation with the person waiting in front of me only to find out they had been waiting for an hour and a half. I'll give the one young gentlemen working there (no name tags) the benefit of the doubt because it seemed he truly had no idea what he was doing while trying to help his customer. The manager however, clearly on drugs (tweaking) was less then useless to any customers or her employee. I gave up, before leaving I inquired from the manager where I could go to actually recive help and she referred me to a different town's store. Would say that the only thing less helpful then AT&T online customer service would be there brick and mortar location. If they can't find component help I would advise shutting down the location for...
Read moreDo not waste your time going to this location. We went in to upgrade a phone with a trade-in and instead of just doing a regular upgrade they tried to be sneaky and add a new line without telling us. We thankfully noticed it the same day when I looked at our account. My husband has been back to the store 3 separate times seeking help. Each time they told him they cannot do anything. We have since put in a complaint with customer support who has escalated it but basically told us we have to return the new phone and wait for another one to be sent. Luckily they refunded us for our troubles. But it’s unacceptable for a business to screw up something so much and then tell us sorry there’s nothing they can do to fix it. Maybe you shouldn’t work there if you don’t know what...
