I recently stopped by this Xfinity Store last Friday, March 1, and asked for stop service two weeks later on March 12 due to moving to a new place. Unfortunately some unprofessional clerk mistakenly stopped my service immediately, however, Clayton Sheesley, a Retail Sales Consultant, pitched in and helped me to restore my internet service at home. I wanted to take a moment to express my sincerest gratitude for the outstanding service that Clayton provided during my recent visit to the Comcast store. Thanks to his expertise and dedication, my internet service at home has been successfully restored. We wanted to install and evaluate Xfinity internet services, but found several configuration problems with our account. He worked tirelessly with Support services until he was able to give us a fully functional account. He then mentioned Xfinity mobile Phone services as well. I promised to evaluate the reviews and get back to him. Internet services worked flawlessly and the reviews for the phone services were very positive as well. So after a few days, we went back and worked with Marquise again to drop our Verizon accounts and switch to Xfinity. He took care of everything and we left very happy and with fully functional phone service. He was very professional, very knowledgeable, and very patient throughout all of our questions and concerns. Read moreThis is not a review of the store itself, but xfiniti as a whole. Their online customer support is terrible - some folks have commented about the English fluency of the support team but there is no point in blaming individuals for problems with the system. Especially when the customer support team is located in regions with MUCH lower labor costs.
Xfiniti’s website does not list available plans so you can’t really make an informed decision. I ended up stuck with their 600 Mbps plan because ofmy lease agreement and it wasn’t until several months later that I realized it was a complete overkill, and it cost me $78 a month. Unless you're streaming a hundred things at once, there's no reason anyone needs that much speed. The 600 mbps is just an upsell.
They refused to downgrade my plan and when I said I wanted to cancel, they sent me on a merry dance. And even if you do manage to reach someone and cancel, you don’t get any kind of confirmation. Xfiniti loves...
