Good visit. I'll likely stop again when in the area. As is usual with CFA, they have a good group of helpful, super-polite employees.
I struggle to understand what makes this Chick-fil-A just a little bit different than the others. I travel a great deal for work, so I probably go to Chick-fil-A more, and a much wider variety of Chick-fil-A restaurants, then the average person does. I'm not entirely convinced that's a good thing, but it is what it is. I know that a BIG part of my draw to Chick-fil-A is that I like how consistent the restaurants are, no matter where I am.
That's the only issue that I have with this location - consistency. This is the third time now I've stopped at this location on a business trip in the last 2 years; on one of the visits everything was fine, and on the other two (including this one) the food just tasted off. Not bad, necessarily, and I didn't get sick or anything, it just didn't taste like the food normally does.
One visit, all my food was fine except for my traditional Chick-fil-A sandwich. The pickles on that sandwich tasted very sour...dominated the whole sandwich.. Again, it didn't make me sick, but it definitely ruined the taste of the meal. The owner/mgr. did a great job after that experience, contacted me, and sent me a coupon for a free sandwich. Another example of legendary Chick-fil-A customer service.
It's my most recent visit (which happened last night) that Google is prompting me to write this review for. I went with all nuggets this time - a 12-count grilled nugget combo, an 8-count traditional nugget, with a fruit cup and a large tea.
Once I was back on the road, I eagerly opened my bag of food. I was disappointed to find that not only had they given me an 8-count grilled nugget instead of a 12-count, but the grilled nuggets were very dry. Tasted okay, just chewy. The other nuggets were good, the fruit cup was good, but the iced tea didn't hit the spot either. It tasted like it had been brewed for far too long - the tea taste was super strong and gave the impression that it had been brewed in a coffee machine.
So, I'm writing this review to encourage this location to do whatever it is they think necessary to work on their consistency. Well, and to get Google reviews off my back. They've prompted me to write one four times since...
Read moreCame for a late lunch, and the parking lot had an issue with a line of cars causing havoc with traffic coming into the lot and also blocking people in who were parked. I saw two different near hits. There was also this truck blocking the outlet with cones around it.
I brought this to the attention of the staff and someone claiming to be the manager very quickly spoke to me.
Every man alive knows when he's being talked down to, and that quiet passive aggressive arrogance is something every man knows. The man claimed that that was his truck and he had it there because there was a one-way flow to traffic and he was blocking people from going the wrong way. And he was so insistent to jump on me and not let me finish that I wasn't able to tell him about the other vehicles causing issues, he just wanted me shut up.
Well here's the vehicles I was talking about, and there's the traffic backed out into the road because they're having to inch forward to get into the parking lot and the people out in the street almost hitting them because you've got your only entryway so clogged up that it's causing a traffic issue.
But don't listen to me, I'm just a good Samaritan trying to let somebody know about a problem that could get someone hurt. I will make sure to never again speak up about anything I see at this restaurant that might be a potential problem you have...
Read moreThe food and service are great. The location is convenient, but the parking lot and drive thru were poorly planned to manage for high volume. While the site has attempted to manage this, patrons do not understand how to effectively utilize both drive thru lanes or allow people in who choose to properly utilize the merge option to keep traffic off Atherton, therefore people feel like they need to continue to use 1 lane and back up traffic onto Atherton. OR, people attempt to continuously turn in while both merge lanes are filled and BLOCK the exiting lane, therefore causing exit traffic to back up. I thought mobile ordering could bypass some of this, wrong. I just stood in a small, cramped, space, waiting just as long as the drive thru and this was after 15 minutes of waiting to get to the parking lot. The food is good. The service is good. On my way out some inpatient person literally exited his car to confront the car in front of him to move up 3 feet, then moved his rage to me, while I was sitting at the stop sign from the parking lot trying to turn right to exit only this guy was blocking it, trying to enter but was literally blocking the exit. Then he stonewalled me to be difficult and pointed his recording phone at me while my children are hungry and screaming. No thanks. I don't care how good your food is. My daughter likes the toys at McDonald's...
