I wish the store had better communication I called repeatedly and each time the phone picked up-you can hear the store in the back ground then click. Management and associates never seem to be on the same page on policy. Meaning one person tells you something and another tells you something different. The professionalism is sorely lacking. I was speaking to a member of management about my concerns with communicating with the store as it’s happened so frequently or I wouldn’t be frustrated. One associate in particular, Andrew, interrupted my conversation with management, was very rude to me, yelled at me, told me outright he didn’t care and that I wouldn’t get special treatment. I just wanted to be treated as a customer. And if management ensures me they will do something then that’s what should happen. But like I said the communication in store is lacking. At that point I was so upset, I couldn’t even finish my conversation to management with this kid yelling at me I told him I wasn’t upset at anyone in particular just the lack of communication. Before I left I took the time to look the young man in the eye and say that I hope you really consider that you don’t know what is going on in people’s lives, that he doesn’t know me and that he should treat people better. As people. He repeatedly loudly said “I don’t care. That’s not my problem. You don’t work here” There could be so many reasons, I wish the situation had de escalated.
Not that Andrew would care but my health is failing me. I can’t drive to the store by myself any more I have early onset dementia, I have a rare recessive genetic disease that effects me neurologically, and physically including my central nervous system etc there is no cure.
My future is uncertain so these small things like shopping or getting to the store are not as easy as for other customers. And small things mean more to me than other customers. I did not share with him my medical conditions it’s hard for myself to even accept at times.so of course I wasn’t going to use it as an excuse for “special treatment” he had already mentioned. Every day is uncertain for me it’s like waiting for a timer to go off randomly. My time and my effort is exhausting. I’m not supposed to be around stress and this experience made me never want to leave my home again.
Waiting in line in the store is exhausting I wish they had wheel chairs atleast. I have to take several breaks when I shop. I just want to be a...
Read moreIf you are looking for something and cannot find it at HomeGoods, you probably don't really need it! This store has everything! The store was clean and stocked FULL! It had been a few months since I was last in and was impressed by how much inventory they had compared to the last time. There were many aisles that were somewhat blocked by carts with additional inventory that had not yet been put out on the shelves. I really don't think there was room for any of it ON the shelves as they were packed full. The whole time I was in the store, I only noticed a total of 5 employees.(It doesn't mean there weren't more, but that is all I saw.) Two employees were stocking shelves and the other three were at the check out registers. This is where my rating comes in. A store that size, with as many people who were shopping, definitely needs more employees helping people check out.The wait to make our purchase was over 20 minutes long. I was not in the store at peak hours, and although there were a fair amount of shoppers, it wasn't the crowd that is often seen. I seriously contemplated leaving my desired purchase but was afraid it would be gone if I came back later, and I realized that I would probably encounter the same wait at a later time, maybe even longer. The employee that helped me check out was very friendly and helpful and was quick at the job. I would commend her on being so cheerful as most of the customers were looking a bit cranky after waiting in the check out line. She did her job, and she did it well. The long wait to check out could have been avoided had there been more employees working. Due to the long wait(which I have now come to expect) it would make me not "run in real quick" to pick up an item as I know a long check out line will be waiting for me when I am ready to make my purchase. I often don't go into HomeGoods because I know I don't have the time to wait another 20-30 mins in line to check out. The lack of employees helping check out and the long wait in line is the only reason my rating is 4 stars instead of 5. Will I still shop there, of course! I will just have to go when I know I have...
Read moreI brought a flower to checkout to purchase however, it didn’t have a price tag so the cashier reached out to ALPA whom I assume was the MOD on duty. She brought one that had some similarities however, they were not identical. Once she shared the price I asked her was she sure because they were different. She immediately asked me if I wanted it. Another word, she was asking do you want it or not? My reply was, I was asking a question but no I don’t want it. Although, I had every intentions on purchasing but changed my mind due to her lack of competences. You need to get Managers who have patience and skills when it comes to giving- Great Customer Service because, clearly she has NONE. If you expect great CS from your employees, , MOD’s should be held to the same standards....
