CareNow Urgent Care - Pearland Shadow Creek Ranch — Local services in Pearland

This was my third time at this clinic, but if it were my first, I would not have gone back. The first two visits were very positive and the providers I saw were fantastic. I checked in online to “wait in the comfort of my own home” (as the sign says) and received a text that it was time to come in. I checked in with the front desk and then proceeded to wait 1.5 hours just to be called back. I went up and asked the friendly front desk if I would be called back soon, because I had checked in online. I was told that between the time I received the text message and I arrived (less than the driving time anticipated when I registered) there was an influx of people and it was “first come, first served” and it didn’t matter if I registered online. I asked what the purpose of the online registration was and the signs that said “wait in the comfort of your own home” if I was going to have to wait hours anyways in the clinic? About 5 minutes later I was called back and vitals were taken. The tech led me to a room and said “the provider would be with you when she can”. The tone gave off a “we’ll get to you when we get to you” vibe. The provider comes in a little over 30 minutes later and she barely listened to my concerns. She made it seem like I was inconveniencing her by being there. She spent maybe 2-3 minutes in the room with me. Brand new facility. Just what the area needed. Staff were nice but the wait was absolutely awful especially when you are sick. I registered online hours before arriving. Not one person was there waiting prior to my arrival so I knew I would be seen quick and on my home to rest instead I waited 47 minutes and then had to go back to the desk to ask if I was forgotten about. a few minutes later I was taken in back. Someone came and took my blood pressure and left. The person at the front desk then came and took my temp and tested me for Covid. The previous person returned and asked me some ridiculous questions. My records were there as I am a previous patient at CareNow. Not sure if this was a new person but she was not knowledgeable at all and complained of being tired. If I stated I had a hysterectomy in 2018 why would the follow up question be are you pregnant?! Because o felt so bad I just wanted my test results and to be discharged. Staff was very rude and unprofessional. From the start the front desk lady asked me about my private health information infront of the whole lobby of people. Then I was finally called back after waiting 30mins for them to ask me what I was here for to which I stated the reason and they proceeded to ask me what they should do… very un knowledgeable and uncaring ( the NP & Andy). They then asked me to wait in the waiting room after discussing what seemed to be a very short care plan. After waiting approximately 30 more minutes in the lobby I asked the front desk attendant how much longer I would have to wait to receive care. She went to the back and brought Andy the I’m assuming medical assistant to the front when in a very demeaning and abrupt manner she told me that i should’ve received care 2 days ago and she didn’t know why I was coming to them when I was just simply following my employers request to be seen via care now.
