
So many things with my visit last night. $45 of trash food smh. This location is beyond rude and attitudes in the front are dry and aggressive from the guy taking the order to the girl bagging the items. Not everyone of color is going to tolerate ghetto, loud talking rude service. It’s sickening how they really are whispering numbers and mad when you can’t hear them. You ask a question and you have to practically lean over the counter for them to hear you because the music is blaring so loud but they are asking you to back away from the glass. I ordered the fully loaded load pack with an extra sausage for my husband and neither of our sausage was completely cooked, it was so tough and dry. I waited for my food for 45 minutes so prepare to wait. Also, The rice was dry and that’s never been the case. I also ordered fried catfish and shrimp and can you believe they sold me tilapia/swai and tried to pass it off?? It taste completely different from catfish and it was crispy beyond meat. The only thing that tasted good was the boudin balls and they were given to me cold not luke warm but COLD along with the fried fish, shrimp and fries so I had to go home and heat it up and I only live 10 minutes away. We have frequent this location more than ten times and they are going down hill. I started to just grab fast food and next time I will. I rarely eat out but when I do I don’t mind to tab. After working a 12 hour day I wanted a good meal and did not receive that. I’m so disappointed in how they have changed. The Kirkwood location was not like this.
Update: So I decided to reach out via email as suggested after my review. After 24 hours I was contacted by a manager who offered a discount if I was to return. I politely declined. (I’m sure they followed a policy so I wasn’t upset or anything).They went further and had a district manager contact me. After I explained to him everything that occurred that day and I experienced with bad service and food he agreed that my meal should be replaced.
I went back in later that week and decided to get something totally different as I wasn’t too sure on the fried food option to try again,so I got the crawfish. I can tell you from my service to the food, they handled it amazing and I was so appreciative that they take it serious as I’m in the customer service industry and k follow up with each review as well. Read moreSo I rated this midway! For starters, when you make a mistake, own it as a business! Paying for an egg would’ve never been an issue for my pockets if the cashier (who was so nice) didn’t tell me that I can replace my potato for an egg! Let’s not go into the specifics because it doesn’t matter however, let me add it was a bunch of back and forth before the problem was rectified! You have to ask yourself as a business owner, is it worth losing a customer over something so small as an egg when overall the cashier misinformed the customer. So back story, I do not live here I actually made a special trip back today on my visit because I first visited this exact location in January and I made it my business to come back!!!! I probably won’t anymore! Sooo 2 more points!
Brian- He does NOT know how to talk to people! As a matter of fact his customer service is absolutely TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!! After a bunch of back and forth with his rudeness he rectified the problem of the egg! Matter of fact he overly rectified the issue…I just wanted my egg!!! They had already fixed my friends food!!! However there is a bright side to this story!
NATALIE— SHE IS DOPE!! So she was on her break! I had no clue she worked there and she heard us talking about it bc our point was, it’s principal at this point, it’s an EGG if i couldn’t do it when i was ordering I woulda just paid then! Anyway she went to the back (before Brian fixed it) and came back out without the egg BUT she knew how to talk to an upset customer! She should be in charge! See what businesses fail to realize, you have to know how to talk to customers!!!!! She in fact did! I do want to thank her for caring and taking the time on her BREAK to try and not only fix my problem, but listen to me vent!

Read moreI am writing this as someone who has ordered take-out from them for about a year. The actual food is ok and varies but the service is absolutely atrocious. They need to fire a lot of the people they have working the front. They are very rude, unprofessional, will brush you off, and give the overall impression they don't want to be there.
The guys that work there are more interested in only waiting on girls that they find attractive; as well as making disparaging and misogynistic remarks about customers amongst their coworkers. This behavior is usually more evident when ordering their at night.
After ordering for about a year, and hoping the service will get better, or thinking "maybe the employees are just having a bad day"; I am officially done with dining here. Last night I had an order that I placed online an hour and 20 minutes prior to my arrival. After being ignored in line, I had to flag down an employee about my order. She briefly glanced at the orders and told me it wasn't ready. I flagged down another and he did the same thing. It wasn't until I actually had to get a bit more aggressive in tone, that they thoroughly checked and saw my order sitting there.
I doubt the owner will care about this review, or the fact they are losing my business with them. However, if you look at the reviews, as well as the community in pearland's sentiment about Lotus, you will see that a lot of people have issues with the service at this restaurant.
