Food Lion — Local services in Pelzer

The front end cashier manager Debrah , I think that’s are job title not sure to be honest because is so rude and always have an attitude when I come in . I had to bring my snake into the store to pick up some things and he was just wrapped around my neck not messing with anybody and she game over and basically told me I had to leave because I had a snake but the thing is I have took my snake and other reptile in this store many times and talk to the store manages with him and no one said anything , just how pretty he is. But today was different I was heading to check out and Ms.Debrah basically told me I had to leave the store . The thing they do not have anything on policy on their door that say that I can’t bring my reptile in but I have seen them let dogs sit in the buggy’s and not say anything. But having my snake around my neck that I have done many time remind you isn’t allow. Debrah has her favorite I guess and I’m not one of them oh and I have seen a parrot walking in there...

Used to be pleasant to shop, now all the CSRs and yes even the ones over customer service are just rude and have no business helping customers with the attitude they display, as though the customer is an inconvenience to their tiktoks, or gossip sessions. Its rather shameful that the management on ALL levels allow this to become the new norm for this food lion. I would recommend a serious retraining on how to deal with customers. Or just get new staff. Between scoffing at customers, eye rolls, blatantly ignoring them this is not a store that wants to be open long i can tell and your staff shows it.

Edit: i had no idea the vast majority of the reviews recently say the same thing, so it must not be a customer problem. Nd old saying, "if everything you touch hurts, your finger must be broken" really applies here. But will they...

I used to really like shopping here but not so much anymore. My coupons on the app never work. They always send me to customer service yet there's never anyone there so I end up waiting. The bakery bread is moldy. Last time I just wanted to exchange it for another bag but all of the bread was moldy that was out on the shelf. I went back a few weeks later and figured I'd check the bread cause surely they've fixed the issue. Nope, all the bags of small sliced french bread were moldy. The store manager was standing in the bakery, he came over and snatched the bag away from me. I started to tell him how this is a recurring problem and he cut me off and walked away. Super rude.
