A friend introduced me to the Pretentious Pickle before Christmas 2023... so I placed our first order. Their pickles are simply THE best pickles our family has ever had! (And we are pickle fanatics.) It's hard to know what our most favorites are... we have tried and loved the Dill Pickles, the Sweet as Sofia pickles, the Spicy Sweet as Sofia pickles, and we just recently tried the Dill Dip which is one of the best dips we have ever had. We also ordered a jar of the Candied Jalapeños and cannot wait to try them. In short, there is nothing that you could order from this wonderful small-business pickle company that would disappoint you. The customer service is impeccable, the pickup in Pembroke is so easy, and the pickles are the best ever....

In the best way possible, going into this shop is always a jarring experience. The staff is extremely friendly and there are usually a few deals going on that’ll help save you some money. As a pickler myself, I don’t know how they do their magic, but their Sweet Crunchy Onion pickles are what I strive for with every harvest. What really seals the dill though? The free samples, relish it all in, going into this store is quite an experience. It’s hard to walk out with less than 4 jars of goodies, although I never regret balling out in here. Fun to watch them go from the farmers markets to owning their own store. Keep on rocking on...

Just made my first stop in yesterday, I can't write well enough about this place. Anyone who loves pickles or just looking for a fun time by the water will love this spot. These snacks are more than just novelty, the Mayflower beer pickles are my personal favorite. It would also be a sin not to mention the absolutely lovely staff that works here, I believe I was served by the owner's daughter and she was one of the kindest people I've spoken...
