Went there to today to exchange a starter I bought 2 days ago with a lifetime warranty because it wasnt working right upon walking in I go up to the counter with Phil and then bob yells across the store test that starter his girlfriend called me earlier blah blah I had no clue what he was talking about nor would my girlfriend call for me so was already bothered by him yelling over I told Phil I want to exchange this starter or do it under warranty somethings going on with it so then he goes and tests it and comes back and says it fine I then say id still like to exchange it Bob yells across the store thats ur problems else were if that starters good and that not how that works we wont do that at this point I'm annoyed and they start to get into a loud argument basically yelling at me they wont do it I then say should i call your coprate office Bob then yells over get someone I dnt recall his name involed he comes out and tells them to do it for me and mind u I started this processes with Phil and he never asked for bobs input so beyond disturbed by that vist Will not return to this location and will be telling my friends and family to go elsewhere as long as Phil or Bob are working there worst customer service ive ever experinced. Two vehicles stranded 5 hours from home. O'Reilly store manager DON JOHNSTON was tremendous help and deserves company recognition. He helped me "far beyond his job description" with one or the broken trucks (a Silverado). He provided several gallons of Dextron VI no one else had THAT WAS IN STOCK, two sets of transmission cooling lines (one in stock), and a local referral to a professional mechanic shop owned by Eric Karnes that I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Everything that needed shipping was delivered free to store last minute overnight from Romulus as promised. Great price. Great parts. And TREMENDOUS service by Don and his staff. Kudos to Don! But I have not been too impressed with their customer service or their knowledge of parts, etc. I generally like it when the man at the service counter can answer at least some of the questions about batteries, oil, or engine parts that I throw at him. I had a $130 battery installed, but my vehicle does the same thing as before, so I wish he would have tested my old battery as I suggested. Plus, the other one was a better battery, or so the worker said, and was probably perfectly fine. And when I ordered an oil dipstick, it had to be ordered 3 different times, and then it still wasn't in because no one would go pick it up from their supplier like they said they would, so eventually, after a couple of months, I just drove to the supplier directly, and forfeited any O'Reilly points I would have gotten through their...
