Weâve had great experiences and paid with card in the past so Iâm confused and disappointed to this experience.
My sister had an appointment (called to reschedule) and well on time. She wasnât acknowledged nor greeted upon arrival and sat down to wait for someone to come to her. As other customers came in, they were promptly greeted and seated despite being walk-in appointments.
After her acrylic set was done, the common courtesy question of âdo you like them?â wasnât asked - just simply âVenmo, cash or card?â
When trying to pay with the card her fiancĂŠ gave her, the man asked her to provide an ID. This is understandable as it wasnât her card. But because he was not inside the salon, she attempted to pay with her own card on Apple Pay to be get out quicker.
Again she was told she would need to provide an ID (she didnât have her wallet). She offered to leave her phone to go get him but was asked to sit down and wait for him. But Iâm confused as to why she would need to provide one as no other customer had to.
On top of all this, the nails were bad quality. There was acrylic and gel on the edges on her nails, which had to be fixed by another lovely salon for her event later tonight.

This was my special treat to myself ⌠I had been coming to the salon for over a year every two weeks I would get a manicure pedicure spend about $80-$100 depending on if I did French and tip. Henry was doing my nails one day and he was so quick he didnât do any filing after applying acrylic they were really busy that day but thatâs no excuse!!! He literally Just put Polish over acrylic and it was so bumpy and horrible and they tried to send me out ! I said that I was not going to pay for it and to take it off my nails it was that badâŚ.yesss it was âŚ... he YELLED AT ME with a full salon !!!! to the point I almost Was in tears and i couldnât do anything beside my feet were in water . I showed Him and said youâre happy with this quality ????
Iâve never done that to a salon let alone a salon owner !!!! Tam the other owner , she spent over 45 minutes filing and repainting the nails. I also was getting a pedicure at this time the pedicure person was very sweet and did a good job. I tipped her I did not tip Tam or Henry and i did pay over 90$ . I never went back !! Ive been going to nailbar down the way and they give you mimosas / chair massagers the prices are a tiny less and I never Have been...
   Read morePolish Me is absolutely wonderful. Clean, everyone is so friendly, and incredibly helpful. Henry is so kind, always greeting everyone by name when they walk in. Tam is a master of her craft! She always has the best suggestions for color in general, and sheâs also fantastic at suggesting changes that will make styles or art work best for your nail shape, length, etc.
Recently, I waited way too long between fills and broke two nails (it was about four and a half weeks, and I broke them the night before my appt so the longevity of her work is obviously amazing!); I couldnât believe how healthy my nails still were underneath the acrylic. They were still incredibly thick and I could barely tell the difference between the new nail growth and what had been worked on in the past.
Iâve been to two other nail salons in Petaluma, and Polish Me has been by far the most exquisite experience...
