Recently I had made a long awaited and much needed visit to this specific Hobby Lobby in Petoskey Michigan with my wife who was also very excited for the visit herself, especially since she had never even been to a Hobby Lobby in her life, which made her that much more excited. Although not only are most of the items way overpriced at this Hobby Lobby which is a big part of why I would rarely ever visit Hobby Lobby in the first place, other than for some really good sale deals that Hobby Lobby tends to have sometimes as well as for the really good online coupons and discounts that Hobby Lobby has often seemed to have. And although we were very excited to finally be able to make it to Hobby Lobby.. when it came time to purchase our items.. I had presented several valid online coupons and discounts to our cashier named Heather at the checkout. And right from the beginning, Heather had an attitude as she explains to me in a rude manner that they have discontinued the online coupons and discounts when clearly it still shows that these online coupons and discounts are perfectly valid and have not yet expired. And so with the few items in my hands that I had really hoped to purchase.. I mentioned to Heather that I will just have to put away some of my items that I had picked out.. as Heather proceeds to speak to me in an unpleasant manner and with a rather smart aleck tone of voice and response telling me to do what I need to do.. as my wife still went ahead and proceeded to purchase her item that she only ended up overpaying way too much for, needless to say. So not only did we end up spending way too much even just for the little bit that we had purchased.. But if I am not mistaken, if it shows that there are perfectly valid coupons and/or discounts whether online or in person for Hobby Lobby or for any business for that matter.. then not only should that business simply and gladly honor those coupons or discounts.. But I also believe that it is also a Business Rule as well as a Business Law to Honor and Accept any shown proof of any valid Coupons and/or Discounts. And until that is put into effect.. I can honestly say that I plan never to go back to Hobby Lobby or to ever even purchase from Hobby Lobby ever again. Unless perhaps the proper actions are taken in order to only help the customers of Hobby Lobby or any other business, instead of only running off their customers as well as only cheating and mistreating...
Read moreMy husband and I stopped in hobby lobby in Petoskey for a package of heart stickers and got in line to check out, a lady in front of us checking out had a problem with something so we didn't mind waiting, a lady came up to solve it and said come over to this register and she will take us, she rung up the item $1.99 with 40 percent off and I gave her a $50.00 and she rudely said don't you have something smaller I said no I don't she said I don't know if I got enough in the drawer, with a bad attitude towards us, she did have it and finally gave it to me, she said she was an assistant manager, she made us feel like we trying to to do something holding up the $50.00 up in the air and attitude was terrible, we shop in their all the time spent $300.00 in their this Christmas and just had a huge picture frame their a week ago, we feel her attitude towards us was unprofessional to a customer and no matter how you want to pay is up to customer not frowning how a customer is paying, makes you feel not welcome their their are nice people who work and she assistant manager this ruined it, think we will go to Gaylord one from now, where we are respected, no one should tell a customer what to pay with! Very disappointed after just spending all the money in the last months their, if you don't want to be friendly to customers then you shouldn't be working there! To retired people...
Read moreSuch a wide variety of craft and home decor items. I was VERY disappointed that a store of that size did not have a mobility scooter and their wheelchair is huge which is nice for a bigger customer but the width is very uncomfortable for a small person because the reach to turn the wheels is nearly impossible. The three employees I talked to were all polite but none of them had any idea what "zentangle" is. This is a craft/doodle that has been around for several years and it might be advantageous to educate the staff on the craft options that are available, at least to the extent that they could direct customers to where the supplies are located. Overall a good shopping experience. I appreciate the fact that they are...
