3/5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 😢 SUMARY OF CLASSIFICATION: The place is clean and has a fancy look, although, they are NOT as generous with the portions as other places as usual legit Mexican restaurants. I was impressed with the decoration and structure but not with the food. Food is not super Mexican authentic - but it’s more like a Fancy looking American Mexican restaurant with high prices. PRICES: 4/10 - unfortunately, their prices are high due to how fancy their restaurant structure looks. 1- burrito a la carte- grade 5/10 - too small. 2- Supreme Nachos - grade 6/10 - I did not like that they use shredded chicken (it was salty) I usually prefer fresh chicken pieces. Another thing, the nachos plate was to small in comparison even with the American Mexican La Señorita restaurants. I wish they were more generous and used fresh chicken pieces instead. BATHROOMS- they were decent.

Was really excited to try this restaurant, I love Mexican food and haven't had great Mexican food since living in Detroit. Margaritas were really delicious and pretty reasonably priced considering how big the drinks are (plus you can still taste the booze lol). Service was great, our waitress was really nice and attentive. However, I ordered tacos and was a little disappointed. The carne asada was very dry and tough, but they came with this really spicy salsa which I liked. I will also note that our food came out EXTREMELY fast. Sides of rice and beans came out within minutes of ordering and tacos followed very shortly after. This is sometimes a restaurant red flag for me as it could mean the food is not made to order and might just be reheated before serving. But overall, food was alright; if I were to come back I would definitely order something else.

My experience here was pretty good. Walking in was a little confusing because no one is there to greet you as you would typically expect. After I found the front desk I stood there for a few minutes then decided to just go to the bar and sit there since I was by myself. Once I sat down I realized there was no one tending the bar, but servers would randomly come in and out without asking me anything. There was one waiter, a young chicano who took care of me, I wish I got his name but after that everything was gold. His service was great and attentive. The food was pretty good. My steak was over cook to well done so it was a tad bit dry but still good. The sides were good, rice and pan fried bell peppers were a solid 8. The shrimp was good with the steak. Over all I was pleased with everything. I’d probably come back.

One of our favorite Mexican restaurants in Michigan, in both Petoskey and Gaylord. It's large but cozy and private with tall, comfortable booths to separate the patrons. Each booth and everywhere else you look, you'll find beautiful, hand painted scenes of Mexico and the Mexican culture. It's just a pleasure to come here, whether you want casual or a little more special. The food is fast, fresh and hot. Chimichanga with queso and enchiladas were full of meat and chicken, and sauces were flavorful without being greasy. Beans and rice were traditional and tasted homemade. Our waiter was an angel. He made a good evening GREAT. Every table loved him - we heard people laughing and saw him consistently smiling a real smile, like he enjoyed what he was doing and us "gringos" didn't annoy him TOO much! ;) He was always busy, fast, friendly and professional. The menu is enormous, which can be problematic for some establishments, but not here. Anything we pick has been good, so we enjoy trying new things - and they have all kinds of creative dishes you won't find anywhere else. Find the ones with the house-made BBQ ribs on top! We don't find anything too salty, spicy or over seasoned, especially with cilantro, which can overpower a dish. The only request is filtered water instead of from the tap, plain and in the lemonade, as the water in many cities doesn't taste very good. Otherwise, no complaints! Yes, they charge for chips and salsa, but they're just up front about it. You can't possibly believe any restaurant gives you "free" anything, whether it's bread or chips. It's just worked into the price of the food. "Free" shipping isn't free either - it should really be called "shipping included" if we're going to be honest. So, don't be too upset with them. Sodas are refilled at no additional charge, as we're accustomed to. (Built into the price, of course!) We don't work here or know anyone who does, we weren't compensated in any way for this review, and it wasn't part of an influencer freebie or contest. Just...

It was very nice and clean in the inside. I got the choriqueso to eat. It was only an appetizer and comes with flour tortillas. The queso was soooooo good. I even put it on my eating partners El Rancho quesadilla . (Quesadilla filled with chicken, chorizo and onion)

The quesadilla was good. It was great when I added the cheese from the choriqueso.

Back to the choriqueso appetizer. The dip consist of chorizo and queso and then topped with tomatoes. I barely had chorizo in it. Actually it was maybe less than a teaspoon of chorizo. So really it was just cheese. That lack of chorizo was a disappointment. As I could not fill a tortilla up. Because it was nothing but cheese and would not fill.

Customer service was great. You felt welcomed walking in and even greeted on your way out.

Chips and salsa was above average.

Our greeter appeared to be tired. He was slow. As he gave us a another salsa but no chips. We did not get checked on often. Hey, its understandable. We all have days like that.

I rated this place a bit higher because customer service was good. And the food was descent. Queso cheese was very good. But remind them not to be shy with the chorizo if you get the dip!!

First time stopping in here. Again. I'm always on the road exploring restaurants.

I would come back if I...

Called to make a reservation for 13, they said they don’t do them but for a group like that they would make it happen. Told us to show up at 6:30. So we drive an hour north to eat there (we have eaten there once before and food was good, wait staff doesn’t speak much English, which makes things difficult when trying to order the right food, but overall the food was good). Upon arriving there i walked in to tell them the group had arrived. And not one person had a clue as to what I was talking about. So I stood there for 20 minutes, after already standing there for 10 before someone actually came to talk to me, while they tried to figure it out. And after 20 minutes of no response. The rest of my group walked in, they told us all, 15-20 minutes and they would have a table for us . So we stood there for almost 45 minutes and no one said a word. And they kept seating people. It’s like we weren’t even there. They were seating groups of 6,8 and 10 people. But we were left in the corner. So, we left. Made resvervations at luckys in Gaylord, and look at that, they got us in when they...
