These folks have HUGE HEARTS!! If I could give them a 10-star rating, I would do it. My MIL lost her home of 40+ years and everything in it due to Hurricanes Helene and Milton in FL. It was devastating. We had one week to get her relocated into an ALF 1-bdrm apartment here in MI and get it fully furnished. I went to 3 other furniture stores before finding Little Traverse Furniture & Mattresses. In the center of the store was a giant mound of donations to help the flood victims in NC. I knew I found the right place. A compassionate company/people that give back. So rare these days. I met Jeremiah Pheasant who was an enormous help showing me the furniture that I could get right away and not have to order. I also met owners Steve and Monique Emerson and they joined in to help me. I was able to procure everything the apartment needed right down to the lamps. Knowing how overwhelmed I was, (I shed some tears and gave them hugs!!), they even gave me all the light bulbs in the lamps!! The impossible task was now possible. They delivered and set up the furniture with a friendly crew the very next day. We have never felt so grateful to a company before. Their caring and compassion went above and beyond. The pricing was fantastic as well and for quality furniture-- not cheap internet furniture that you have to put together. My MIL moved in 2 days later and absolutely loves her new place. If you need furniture or a mattress THIS is the place to go to-- hands down. Period. It's refreshing to find a store like this. Forever...

I absolutely love this wonderful family owned and operated furniture store. My husband and I were looking for a new sofa but weren’t having much luck. We looked nearly everywhere locally and even began looking online but we still didn’t find what we were looking for. A new furniture store opened recently so on a whim we decided to check it out. As soon as we walked through the door we were greeted by Monique with a big genuine smile on her face. Everyone has, at one time or another, been accosted by a salesperson with that plastered on cheesy grin and felt ill at ease. This was the complete opposite of that. Monique was actually glad to see us in her store and genuinely happy to help us try to find the sofa we were looking for. She was so patient and explained the benefits and “bells and whistles” in depth when we testing out a sofa. I have a serious back injury so it’s a bit tricky finding something comfortable. We found exactly what we were looking for and the price was incredible! Literally all of the furniture in their store is priced very budget friendly and is very high quality. My husband and I are all about supporting local businesses and we are so happy to have discovered this new gem right here in our town. Overall, my experience was decent. I found the chairs I wanted online, and when I went to the store, the price was higher—but they honored the online price, which I really appreciated.

However, communication after the sale was frustrating. I was initially told the chairs would be ready in 4–6 weeks, but after 6 weeks passed without an update, I reached out. No one answered the phone during business hours, and the voicemail said to text—so I did, but never got a reply. I also emailed the salesperson directly and received no response. After several more calls (including one where I was placed on hold for 10 minutes and then disconnected), I finally reached someone who gave me an update, though they seemed annoyed that I had called.

The order ended up taking a little over 9 weeks total, and I had to keep checking in myself for updates. It would have made a big difference if the store had been more proactive with communication—or at least made me feel like my inquiries were welcome. (The chairs ended up being on backorder, which is understandable. The communication on that was just lacking.)
