I'm mildly infuriated. I drove all the way to, firstly Best Buy, then to this Office Depot. Best Buy didn't have the specific printer ink for my home printer because that Best Buy in Pflugerville is closing and they have low inventory of pretty much everything. I drove to this Office Depot because they also, like Best Buy does, give you $2 off your order if you recycle a printer ink cartridge with them.
I recycled my printer ink and had my new cartridge picked out ready to buy. I see no 30% off for being an Office Depot/Office Max member on my receipt, even though I am one.
My receipt says to "finish creating my account" to get 30% off, which is ridiculous because I've been a member for at least 4 years. I might have asked them at some point to please stop sending a million daily marketing emails, so maybe they think I don't get to be a full member anymore? The staff member at this store didn't say a word about this. She said I was a member after I entered my phone number into the machine. THANKS a lot, you did a great job making Office Depot a few dollars today.
Then when I get home, I double check the receipt because I was thinking oh maybe if I turn marketing emails back on, I will get my $2 back to my account along with 30% off. I read this extra slip that came with my receipt that nobody gets $2 off their new ink on the SAME DAY you recycle it. So guess what?! You have to come back TOMORROW to get a $2 coupon on your new ink! Why in the heck is this good for the environment? So you recycle an ink cartridge but while you are there, don't buy your ink now? Why would you do that? Use more gasoline, time, and money to come back tomorrow! Office Max 100% does NOT care about recycling, reducing, and reusing. They don't want to give you that $2 off for doing the right thing. Reducing your consumption is NOT driving back and forth over and over again because Office Depot doesn't want to give you the deal you earned. I am truly disgusted and don't want to "finish" making my rewards account. I'll buy my ink elsewhere. My husband says the cartridge is going in the garbage next time!...
Read moreMay I say that Jodi is an extraordinary team member at this Office Depot location. Every time I come in she is so inviting and ready to help me get set for the day. She has gone above and beyond for my experience multiple times, always ensuring that I leave feeling accomplished with my mission. She has great composure and always finds ways to make my shopping easier. I recently ordered a large office chair. She went out of her way to help me use a provided discount for that purchase. When going to pick up the chair, another associate Adam went out of his way to help load the chair into my car. This young man went above and beyond for me trying to get it to fit into my car, but unfortunately we couldn’t make it fit so the team suggested they hold it until I am able to return with a larger vehicle. I very much wanted to tip these two, but they had integrity and said they could not accept. I hope that this survey helps repay them for the kindness they provide me during my shopping visits. I enjoy the selection of office furniture and chairs at Office Depot. Typically I expect to pay a hardy price for nice office furniture, but Office Depot provides a great selection at a fair price. I think the quality is also good for the price, I can be confident that the furniture is going to last for many years and not be easily broken or separated when moving from household to household for work moves. Definitely my go to spot for ink cartridges, paper, etc. they are also awesome because they provide a...
Read morePflugerville Office Depot was integral completing a successful project: Operation Smiling Sister. Isa, w/ Alex's support, printed a number of pages of images on card stock as signage. Isa did an amazing job orienting a single page in the printer 4 times to enable printing 4 different panels from 2 different Word docs to create my sister's Birthday card. Her training & experience was evidenced when she warned that folding high gloss card stock wouldn't work as well as matte. Both Isa & Alex were very professionally patient & polite; waiting &/or helping others then returning to check as I cut out & positioned signage onto lamination sheets. Alex kindly created the "Brought to you by Pflugerville Office Depot" sign. I am thrilled w/ the results & my mission was accomplished! I highly recommend Pflugerville Office Depot for your printing & laminating projects. ((My project? My sister works too hard. She winds down at night by playing "Seekers Notes." I decided to bring bits of the game out into Real Life (RL). I commissioned an artist to create a "Magic Pot" then wrapped it to resemble a game gift. In the game you can use Gems to "Speed up" stuff. While my sister smiled & even grinned over the signage I blue painter tapped around her house, I got an actual RL LOL by sticking one to her avocado seed - which neither of us may live to see bear fruit. 😅 Some stuff will take her weeks to find - such as the popup game info I taped inside her sewing kit box. Thanks...
