Tried this place out yesterday, thought I would give them a try but was a mistake. The barber cut my hair wrong, didn’t follow the very clear and simple explanation I gave him, granted he did a decent fade but it wasn’t the cut that I wanted or asked for. Also, got a beard trim was terrible, again didn’t do what I told him, he didn’t seem to know how to use a razor blade, gave me a really nasty cut on my face, bearing in mind I was getting this cut for an event I had later in the evening having a huge cut on my cheek was a bit of an inconvenience. I also had to do it again with a razor blade at home as there were still hairs present, he hadn’t cut it well enough to get a crisp shave, make it a literal waste of money as I could and should have just done it myself at home. Although, they seem nice guys and a nice place, from my experience I wouldn’t recommend this place nor the particular barber I had . I had an amazing experience at Essex Barbershop! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly and professional, making sure I felt comfortable throughout the entire visit. I went to Essex yesterday for the first time. Recent staffing changes at my usual spot have inclined me to try other places, so I gave Essex a shot. I will definitely be back! Not only does the shop look amazing, the staff there is really great! Ngoc ended up being my barber yesterday and not only was he very skilled but he also took the time to make sure that my cut was exactly what I wanted.
