My son took me here for my birthday 🥳🥳🥳 He raved about how exceptionally good the food is and I was like okay let's go find out! I am very picky about food and my beer. From outside not much appealing, But once u walk-in the atmosphere inside is very laid back! All the staff were very friendly and welcoming specially one guy behind the bar that had a red shirt on sorry don't know ur name! He was on top of it got our food and drink order and made sure the counter was wiped clean and welcomed us! I ordered the fried chicken sandwich with fries and my son ordered the mac and cheese! Let me tell u that this was one of the best fried chicken sandwiches of my life! Actythe best! The fries were cooked to perfection crispy light and thin! The chicken was out of this world yum yum yum 😋 All and all I had a wonderful time great food great selection of drinks and great atmosphere with great service. What else is there? Specially now these days which most restaurants we go to are a disappointment, but not this one! This is by far my best bar to go too and will go back again and again. I recommend this bar💯💯💯💯💯 Thanks guys for...

Prior to our visit at the Prohibition Taproom, we had called to attempt to make a reservation as we are a large party. They said they did not take reservations so we verified that if a certain number of people came, it would be fine. They confirmed, and then when we came the next day, we were immediately treated like a complete inconvenience and talked down to. The waiters were nice, but the manager consistently spoke in a degrading manner to a party of almost all women. After and hour and a half, my friends had not gotten their food and were handed checks before they saw any food. When asked if a comp was possible for the big inconvenience, the manager came over, a very tall old man, and leaned across the table to get in the face of my smaller friend. He was trying to intimidate a young woman and very demeaningly told her to speak up, then said "Don't raise your voice at me"! What in the world! I felt very concerned for my friends as this man was literally trying to act threatening! It was terrible and he left 2 girls crying. I do not recommend coming here if you want to be treated with respect. Great...

On a way from Thanksgiving trip in Philadelphia, I realized I was getting hungry. With 2.5 hrs drive ahead I knew I will get the hangries. I really wanted cheese melt all three days while in Philly, but the everelusive melt was not meant to be. It was around 8 pm, so my favorite Reading Market was closed...my travel companion convinced me that eating at an actual place is much better than having Dunkin Donuts while driving. So we found this taproom and went in. No tapping there though....It is a pub, with jolly customers, age groups of late 20s to 30s. The staff was very helpful getting us seated and ordering fast. Ordered fish and chips and ramen. I'm not much for ramen...but my fish was amazing, with delicious batter and flaky, white delicate meat, and clean flavor. It was no Tilapia for sure(why does anyone still use that sorry fish). Accompanied by delicious fries and and peas, as well as the best tartar sauce I had in USA till date, this was my perfect dinner. The loud and happy chatter of full pub provided perfect backdrop for parting with...

This place is so cute! It definitely has speak easy vibes. The GM served us and he was so nice and welcoming. The place is a part of a restaurant group that includes the Cafe Lift locations and a Chinese/mexican fusion place that I haven’t been to yet (I didn’t realize that when I went and had just been to Cafe Lift the day before). My food was excellent (At both places). At the Taproom I had the chicken and waffles. It was so flavorful and delicious. The waffle was cooked perfectly. I poured butter on mine and then the sweet spicy sauce and then some real maple syrup. Holy cow. Add chicken for the saltiness and the sweet, sliced, fresh (mild) peppers- yes! I loved every bite. We went at 1215/1230 right after they opened. Their brunch menu is fabulous. I would say the beer selection on tap wasn’t great (you can find something you’ll like tho) and parking is meh… if you find street parking- luck you! If you can’t, right on the corner of 13th / callowhill there’s parking for $7/hr.
