I came here for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. The pedicure was okay, but the manicure was very disappointing.

First, the technician didn’t apply cuticle oil before removing cuticles, which left them feeling rough and unfinished. The table itself was dusty, and no clean paper towel placed at the station or wipe-down was done beforehand. My nails ended up shaped unevenly, and the polish isn’t smooth on a few fingers.

It also seemed like the person doing my manicure was new and still learning, but there was no communication about that ahead of time. If that’s the case, I think customers should be informed and perhaps even offered a discounted rate. Instead, I felt sized up because I wasn’t getting any elaborate designs, and the service did not reflect the price charged.

My experience at the salon was not it. While I understand that everyone has off days, the techs negative vibe affected my comfort. We all have bad days, I get it. But I vibe from peoples moods& a salon experience should be relaxing. She did her best but I noticed she struggled with the design I requested, and I found myself agreeing to changes just to move things along so that I could leave. Also felt awkward when the tech & manager were discussing pricing disagreements right in front of me, which left me uncertain about my final charges. Unfortunately, I found the price higher than what I typically pay at my original salon, where the atmosphere is much more inviting & I get the exact design I request with no changes. I just had my nails done here for the first time, and wow! I think I just found my new place. I had a nail emergency today, and unfortunately my usual nail place was too busy to take me. I then booked another salon, but due to a miscommunication over which service I needed, they too were unable to take me when I showed up. I finally was able to get squeezed in (thank you!!) by Majestic Nail Bar, and it must have been fate because I walked out of there 4,000% happier than I was when I walked in. Kim did a FANTASTIC job!
