Intrigued to try the viral head spa, I booked a online appointment for the Refresh service for myself and a friend earlier in the week. Coming in you're welcome into a cozy space where you have ambient relaxing music playing. After filling out paperwork, we were seated to start by getting a closer look at our scalp through a camera which was pretty cool. We were then walked back to get changed and comfy for our head spa.

Speaking on my experience, I loved the waterfall hair system, the scalp massager and the scent of the products they used on my hair! It was so lovely and I have to thank Jessica for being so welcoming from the time we started the scalp analysis (helped my friend and I as her person was finishing up another client's appt as we were a bit early). She really made me feel comfortable. Made sure to ensure the temp of the water and pressure was good for me. I'm not one that loves massages as its usually painful but this was nice and helped release some of the tension I had on my shoulder/neck/arms. The appt ended with tea and chocolate they presented on a lovely tray as I got to review my post scalp analysis. While receiving a light blow dry Jessica gave me some suggestions to continue hair care based on my scalp analysis.

My friend's experience on the other hand she liked the experience but was not the biggest fan of the service provided by Maajidah. She felt hers was more rushed and wasn't as comfortable during the experience.

As someone with blonde hair, I added the purple shampoo to the service. I was thrilled with the result... It left my blonde looking beautifully icy white instead of the usual yellowish tint.
