Beautiful and huge with two large, partitioned rooms. Good for families and kids as well. The #17- Hot & Sour Soup - $4.25 for one, was nice sized, well stocked, and had a surprisingly good kick. (Note: I usually ask everywhere to make it extra spicy: I did not ask tonight, nor did I need to use the chili oil on every table.) The Peking Duck was nicely served with the puffy type wraps and the typical fixings. We had #170a. Peking Duck (Half) $26.95 that included two fat drums and a nice amount of breast meat copious enough to fill the six included pancakes. On the Congee/Noodle/Rice page, we ordered the #216 - Braised Soft Noodle with Crabmeat - $19.95. Copious Amount of soft, lightly seasoned linguini like noodles with real crabmeat mixed in along with four huge stalks of Bok Choi, as well as some smaller greens mixed in. Again, a nice presentation, amount of food, and taste.
They also advertise they serve Dim Sum all day. It was nigh time, they limited us to about ten items only. We had Sticky Rice, which was two balls wrapped in banana leaves, and the Pork Sieu Mei. Both were comparable to that which I've had in Chinatown.
That second room was hosting a party with a singer. The singer was terrible, off key and screaming so loud that we were totally unable to carry on a conversation. I spoke with the manager on duty, and he assured me that if we return and there is a party, he will close the doors between the two rooms to mitigate the noise. Let me know if you have experienced...
Read moreI have dine here a handful of times. Me and my foodie friend would come here when we crave for dim sum because of the location. The quality of the dim sum is decent but definitely more expensive compared to China gourmet in the northeast. We went there for a handful of times and everytime the food and service is consistent. We usually spend about $60-$80 for 2 people because taxes and tips which is quite expensive for dim sum for 2 people. We usually like to come here on a weekday due to parking is quite hard on a weekend although there’s a parking lot it’s almost impossible to find parking unless you go there as the place opens. The service is pretty decent and they come around quite often with the dim sum cart. I’ve only been there once when they first opened for dinner and I wasn’t crazy about the dinner food. For example we ordered the stir fried eggplant usually just comes with eggplant but at this restaurant they throw in mix vegetables and there were barely any eggplants in the dish itself. We also ordered the braised pork with mustard green veggies and the braised pork wasn’t tender enough and lack in flavor. Since then we haven’t been back for dinner but we still go there for dim sum so this review is strictly based on dim sum not...
Read moreI recently had a terrible experience at this restaurant. My family and I had booked a birthday party for our daughter months in advance, and we were promised a separate, isolated party area. However, on the day of the party, we arrived to find that the restaurant had double-booked two parties without informing us. They pushed our party into a corner surrounded by the bigger party with no noise barrier, just a flimsy piece of paper to separate the two groups.
To make matters worse, the bigger party was playing super loud music, which completely ruined our daughter's birthday party. When we spoke to the manager about the situation, he denied ever promising us a separate party area, going back on his word and leaving us feeling extremely disappointed and frustrated.
The lack of communication and disregard for our party's needs was unacceptable, and we felt like our experience was completely ruined by the restaurant's mistakes. We would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to book a party or special event. Their failure to provide adequate customer service and fulfill their promises demonstrates a lack of professionalism and respect for their customers. Save yourself the hassle and choose a different restaurant for your next...
