Spa services are meant to be relaxing, not frustrating. I normally never write reviews, but Iām genuinely unhappy with the service I received. The final straw was when one of the staff complained that we didnāt tip enough ā in Chinese ā assuming we couldnāt understand. The tip we left reflected the service we received. My friend and I booked in advance and even called to confirm our appointment time. We had scheduled the 70-minute Thai Hair Therapy and arrived on time. However, we were asked to wait because they were short-staffed. The place was practically empty, with maybe three staff members working. After waiting over 30 minutes, someone finally took me back for my eyebrow wax, then told me to return to the waiting area. We were eventually called for our spa service around 5:30 PM ā an hour past our scheduled time. The staff member who assisted us didnāt even know what service we had booked. When I explained it was the 70-minute hair therapy, she asked if we could do just 45 minutes instead because they were busy. She left several times during the beginning of the session, and we were just lying there waiting. Eventually, she said she could do the full 70 minutes, but by then we had already been waiting so long that I agreed to just do 45 minutes. She started on my friend first, and I ended up lying there for at least 15 minutes before another staff member came to work on me. I canāt speak for my friendās experience, but my attendant was extremely rough while washing my hair ā her nail actually scratched my scalp, and I had to ask her to be gentler. After the head spa, they moved us to the room next door to dry our hair, but there was only one chair. My friend went first, so I sat on a cushion chair for another 15 minutes with wet hair waiting. The person who had been working on me left, so the lady drying my friendās hair ended up drying mine too. She rushed through it, and my hair was still damp. When I asked to use the dryer myself, she came back and offered to help, but at that point, the experience was already frustrating. I have nothing against small businesses ā in fact, I really liked the interior and we were extremely courteous despite all the delays. However, the environment was loud, with a TV or radio news blasting, which made it far from the relaxing spa experience we expected. Overall, Iām very disappointed. I wonāt be returning, and I highly recommend that management improve service quality and hire...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHave been here a few times and generally enjoyed my experience, except for this last time. I came in for a 3:30 appointment for a gel manicure and they were busy. They told me to sit, so I waited for what I expected to be about 30 minutes. Instead, I waited an entire hour!! And they also tended to someone with a 4pm appointment before me. Finally, a nail tech started removing my previous gel polish and wrapped them in aluminum foil with nail polish remover. Obviously a normal part of the process, except, I sat there like this for an additional 40 minutes!!!! By the time they started prepping my nails, my skin was so dry by this point, that my nail tech cut my skin with the nail buffer and caused me to bleed (Iām still currently bleeding as Iām typing this 45 minutes later). My nails turned out nice except for the fact that the chrome is packed at the bottom of each nail :( I asked for a discount, but because they were giving out slippers to everyone, they said no. This was honestly one of the worst nail experiences Iāve had. I donāt think Iāll be returning, unfortunately.
Edit: while I appreciate the ownerās response, I did notice slippers were being given to everyone, not just those who spent $70+. The slippers are a nice gesture, but I would have liked a discount (which I asked for) instead of the slippers. Also the fact that I was cut and bleeding was never addressed in your response ā Iām more so concerned about this from a hygiene...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf anyone is looking for a pedicure or head spa, I highly recommend The C Room nails & spa in Northern Liberties!!
They just opened 3 weeks ago and they deserve more clients! I just went today for the first time for a pedicure and their head therapy. You know those head spas trending on TikTok with that waterfall fountain shower head thing? They do it here!
I opted for one of their Highs Cafe Latte Pedicures $80. The pedicurist massaged my legs for a good 30mins and it felt amazing. My legs & feet look and feel great!! Well worth the money. My toes look nice too! Very clean and they use high tech there that I havenāt seen anywhere else. He even gave me a shoulder massage as my toes dried!
For the Thai shampoo head therapy, the owner (Carmen) massaged my head really well. Great pressure! The shampoo/conditioner smells so good and it was very relaxing. This also included shoulder/neck massage/arms/legs. She blow dried my hair (no styling) but my hair feels soo clean, light, and smooth.
Their entire staff was so nice throughout my whole experience there today. Please show them your support & book with them!! They also do gel x, gel manicures/pedicures, facials, lashes, and more. I already got my nails done yesterday, but I may try them for gel x in the future!
Btw, they did not ask me to write this review. I just really was shocked they were empty when I went in. I only saw one other lady walk on while I was there. They...
