I had the pleasure of experiencing Wash Day with Tori for the first time last year, thanks to a friend’s recommendation. From the start, Tori made me fall in love with my curls in a way I never had before. She took time to talk with me about my hair and my goals before ever picking up the scissors, and she taught me how to properly care for my curls, recommending products that actually work.

What truly sets Tori apart is her genuine care. She goes above and beyond—not just with her skill and expertise—but also in the way she makes clients feel comfortable, from offering snacks, coffee, and tea to creating a welcoming atmosphere. It’s clear she truly cares about both her clients and the health of their hair.

I was so impressed that I brought my daughter to see her the following month so she could learn directly from Tori about caring for her natural curls, and I plan to bring my son as well. The impact she’s had on our family has been incredible.

After several years of bad to fair DevaCuts, I found Tori McCutcheon. While she is a curly hair specialist, she does not subscribe to the whole DevaCurl cult. I was late for my appointment with her due to an accident on I-76 and when I texted to let her know, she was very kind and understanding.

Tori spent 2 hours fixing my poor, butchered hair, bringing the shine, bounce and curls back. She's gentle, funny, intelligent, non-judgemental, interesting, meticulous and really knows what she's doing. Her work space is small, immaculate, light filled and intimate. It was nice not to have to listen to strangers and other operators gossiping; I felt like I could literally and figuratively let my hair down here. She did not push hair products on me nor did she diss the stylist who did my previous bad haircut.

My daughter is 8 and biracial with beautiful curls. This was our second trip to Tori. Tori takes time to explain and shows how to use products and recommends products to keep the curls beautiful. Yesterday my daughter had her second appointment and had decided she wanted her hair cut. She found pictures of what she wanted and showed Tori.
