I placed an order on the 18th, which was supposed to be delivered on the 20th (they say they deliver every Thursday to ASU students). On the 20th afternoon, I got a call saying some items were out of stock—even though they were listed as in stock online. Then, I didn’t get any delivery at all that day, nor any update. I tried contacting them multiple times, but it was impossible to reach anyone.
I finally got the items that were in stock on Friday. When I asked about the refund for the missing items, they said they’d put cash in a ziplock bag inside the box (!). I refused and asked them to Zelle me instead.
It just kept getting worse. I messaged the owner (Sagar Mitta) on Sunday to ask about my refund; he said he’d “check with the employees tomorrow and update me,” which obviously never happened. I asked again on Monday evening, and he told me they could deliver the missing items on Thursday. Surprise: no delivery, no heads-up, nothing. When I contacted him on Thursday evening, he blamed “too many orders,” said my order was on the way, and promised to call—but never did.
By Friday morning (the 28th), I’d had enough and asked for the refund again. At 7 a.m., he said he’d confirm with his employees “when they wake up.” By noon, nothing—so I messaged him again. He replied that the employee only starts at 3:30 p.m. and to wait. Then he left me on read. At 4 p.m., he finally apologized and asked for the exact amount he owed so he could Zelle me “right away.” I told him the missing items totaled $40.41. Next thing I know, he sends me a photo of a bill for the items I did get, but with jacked-up prices (he literally doubled the price of one item) so that he only owed me $32.33. I sent him screenshots of my original order with the correct prices—exactly what’s shown in “My Orders”—and he completely ghosted me after that (ignored my messages and calls).
These people are total scammers who have no idea how to run an honest business or keep customers informed. I will NEVER order from them again. I’ve used Weee plenty of times instead—they’re always on schedule, and their customer service is infinitely better.
Lastly, looking at all the reviews and the owner’s replies, it’s super clear they don’t take responsibility for their mistakes. Instead, they blame customers. I’m convinced any positive reviews about them are fake or paid for. Avoid...
Read moreShopped here for the first time since I had come to the area 45 miles away from the east side where I stay. It ended up about 20% costlier for some of the items than other indian stores in Phoenix area. And that difference adds up very quickly for a monthly grocery shopping. As if that itself not enough, 20lb idli rice bag we both bought was infested. I hope the other 2 rice bags we bought are not damaged by the time we open it.
Update after response: Added receipt. Bravo.. you already declared it as a fake review. 👏 As for coming in to the store, I don't want to spend my time and energy coming that far again, especially after you already presumed it's fake. Instead, if you genuinely care, start by looking at Laxmi Idli rice 20lb pack in your Store. Like I said what we bought was infested ( that's one of the facts you were asking for again, which I already said earlier)
For the price comparison, I can help here with more price comparison for you, when I go to another Indian store next time. But for starters here is one. Red Chori (Red Cow peas) 4lb in total $12.58 from your store. $6.29 for 2lb (Refer attached receipt. A fact you have asked for). That's a rip off. I took time to call 2 stores now, since you responded this as fake. One store(Cloves) has 2lb price as $3.49. Other store (Patel brothers) has 2lb price as...
Read moreI’ve written over 200 reviews across businesses, and I can confidently say this is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. This grocery store is a health hazard disguised as a business.
They consistently stock expired Maggi, stale biscuits, moldy rice, and foul-smelling dals—all of which are completely unfit for human consumption. The moment you open these products, the stench makes it clear something is dangerously wrong. It’s not just disappointing—it’s unsafe.
What’s worse is that I’ve personally warned the person at the register and management multiple times about these expired and spoiled items. Yet, nothing has changed. This isn’t an oversight—it’s willful negligence.
I will be filing a formal complaint with the relevant food safety and consumer protection authorities to ensure this store is inspected and held accountable. Selling products in this condition is not just unethical—it’s illegal.
If you care about your health and safety, stay far away...
