I was told I could drop off a decimated flay at any fire station. I went to mine, #37 on 40th Street. It was locked up tighter than a drum, with the only entrance I saw faced 40th Street . A sign posted told me it wasn't open to the public. I hope someone found the flag I'd folded respectfully and put in a plastic bag, slipped under the locked wrought iron gate. But I sure do appreciate all they do and how responsive they are when needed. I'm just so sorry that the current social climate forces them to stay behind closed and locked doors. How sad is that?! Read moreMy disabled mother had fallen. I was unable to get her up and we feared she had broken her hip. These firemen from Station 37 were rude, impatient and judgemental. When asked a question, I never got to completely answer. By the way, it took three of them to get her up. If I was in need of assistance, I would rather wait for another Station, or die before letting these men anywhere near me! Read moreI had a fall at my dentist ofc and couldn't get up. Paramedics Diego, Zach, and Zach arrived very quickly. They immediately got me up and checked all my vitals plus questioned me about my medical history. All 3 gentlemen were professional, helpful, and kind even though they had to get an old lady up off the floor!!
