Before you judge me, my reviews are all based upon the notion that context is key. Is this the best taco or burrito in the universe?? Possibly not. But is it a fantastic TACO STAND type option when you're craving something closer to the real Mexico Mexican fast food thing than your local Chipoodle? Well then, hell yeah it's a fantastic option to scratch that itch. The refried beans are actually refried, you can watch them refry them right in front of you, one of my photos even shows it happening in real time. You're not getting that kind of flavor from boiled pouch beans at other joints. Also, the marinated onions, cilantro, cotija cheese, and various actually spicy (not just white people spicy) salsa options are great. My personal favorites are street tacos with regular carnitas (pork), corn tortillas w a little cheese melted in it while it's cooking on the flat top, add some cilantro, marinated and raw onions, cotija, topped with some green sauce and a touch of crema, and damn it's satisfying. Craving it right now and if it were a 24 hour joint I'd be there while typing this. It's craveable... and that's how I judge these types of things. They have the horchata and Mexican coke as well. Another great option is the loaded Carne asada nachos. Fair notice, ask to try anything that might be spicy, like the red carnitas or the deceptively mild looking cilantro cream sauce, as they are definitely not for the milder folks The service has always been authentic, easy going, chill folks working the flat top and register. Atmosphere is actually great for what it is. Lots of interesting lucha libre/ luchadores masks and photos on the walls, which is a nice cultural touch and makes for non-boring visuals. Place is kept clean. Again, in context, it's not an operating room or fine dining. There is enough seating to reasonably accommodate enough folks to where if you do want to sit and eat a quick lunch, you'll likely have the room to do it without much hassle or wait. All around I've never had a bad experience with the food, people or place so that's a win and since I regularly crave it (at least once a week) then I consider that cinco estrellas.

I believe this is the same owner of the taco shop that was inside PVMall, but I'm not 100% sure. I had a #6 rolled tacos, aka flautas, vinegarette chicken and it came with rice and beans. Rice was OK, not the best but definitely NOT the worst! Beans we good. I threw some barbacoa salsa from the little salsa bar and it was great with the tacos. These are the little mom and pop shops worth saving. I'm sick and tired of the regular burger, pizza, and over priced taco shops. This is a hole in the wall but it's very much worth a visit. For the love of God, don't let these little places like this go under. Support your local Mexican restaurants and enjoy some authentic food. The staff was super friendly and inviting, it helps if you speak Español. I will be coming back!.

My wife and I needed a quick place to eat for lunch so we decided to swing by this hole in the wall taco shop. The service was quick, accurate and friendly. I felt like I had stepped into Mexican family’s home and they were hosting lunch. That’s how welcomed we felt. The chips for the nachos tasted great and did not taste like some mass produced factory chip that you buy at the grocery store. The guacamole that they had at the salsa bar was delicious. I had a little bit of spice and added flavor to everything. The fresh made lemonade also had a tint of lime that made it taste extra crisp. We will definitely go again.

Holy Spicy. It was my first time here and I wasn't sure what to get, so I asked for guidance. I repeatedly told the lady I didn't like spicy. In fact, I have a mild capsaicin allergy, but went here because the rest of my party wanted to try it. I asked the server what was mild. She recommended a meat. She helped me find other mild toppings. I then asked if there was a sauce or something that goes on top of the dry burrito like in the picture and if that was good. She said yes and added it- - ever lovin FIRE. I couldn't eat it at all. I had to scrape all the sauce off and pick at the inside meat which was not spicy. My mouth was burning and the lower half of my face tingled for an hour. Other than the burning heat, I found nothing really redeeming about this place. Just a bland little strip mall burrito shop, nothing exciting. You have to pay extra for tortilla chips too. The churro was really good though. I won't be forced to go back here by anyone. I'll break off from the group and head next door to pv pizza or burger- which are...

I've had Maskadores' food twice and both times it was take out. The first time someone else ordered what I think were barbacoa tacos and they were awesome! The tacos that were given to me had pretty basic toppings; pico, cilantro, and possibly some sort of salsa... I added a little lime and they were great! The second time, someone picked up food again but this time the tacos had more toppings, maybe too many and I didn't get any of the salsa I had before which was kind of a yellow orange color. The tacos from the second time were OK. I think the food from Maskadores has potential to be really good but it all depends on how you have it prepared. Personally, I think it would be good to start out simple with a few toppings so you can really enjoy the taste of the beef and salsa. Do I recommend Maskadores? Yes, they have good food and a good selection to choose from. Go with an open mind, try a few different things and you might be surprised and find...
