After giving a great review for my experience here, I'm coming back to edit because of my discharge experience, which was awful. Granted, I was discharged early (for making great progress), so this wasn't a normal discharge. I had been told I would be released between 10am-12pm. But the doctor came in early and told me I could leave any time. I immediately contacted my husband to come pick me up and started to pack. I needed to use the bathroom, and while I was in there the nurse walked in and told me it was time to go. I hadn't yet had my morning meds or received the blood test results PA Tim wanted before letting me go. The nurse proceeded to pressure me to hurry up and had people come in to strip the bed and clean the room. I was able to get my morning meds but I was 10 minutes away from being able to get my pain meds and the nurse wouldn't let me wait even though I was in a great deal of pain. I was also supposed to have a short graduation ceremony and ring the bell but she wasn't having that either. She rushed me out the door, hastily buckled me in, slammed the door and sent me on my way.
My discharge experience was completely different from the rest of my experience there, and I'm still giving Banner Rehabilitation 5 stars because you deserve it. It was just the actions of one nurse that messed things up and unfortunately I don't have her name. Everyone else there was wonderful and I highly recommend Banner! Here's my original review before I was discharged:
My experience here at Banner Rehabilitation Hospital has been great! Everyone has been kind and respectful at a time when I've been at my most vulnerable. I don't have a bad thing to say about any of the staff I encountered here and would like to give a special shout out to Physical Therapist Tyler and Occupational Therapist Callie....
Read moreMy granddad had been in this hospital for quite sometime , I visited this facility a couple of weeks back but wasn’t able to visit because I did not know the visitation rules and he had already one visitor which was my step sister. But I was greeted by these wonderful young ladies in the main lobby so happy and eager to meet me. They were laughing and happy and so full of energy. The exact attitudes that every hospital needs to be greeted by. Anyways, my granddad has made such huge improvements while being in this facility. He can pick up the phone and talk to us now. He can walk to the bathroom obviously we still keep an eye out. They have completely changed his life and my families life for the better. He will forever be a changed man because of this facility. He was served well and maintained. Always in a clean room; always with a smile on his face. And his therapy team was absolutely insane. So amazing. I came in about 2 hours ago to pick up some of his belongings that was left. It was given to me by a young lady in reception she asked me how everything was going and I just yapped to her the entire time. She was a great ear to speak to. And so enthusiastic. You know I have never made a google review but When she offered the pamphlet I had to jump on the opportunity. Who ever is reading this and is in need of a rehab hospital this is the one. It is right off of 7th street and mcdowell and has amazing hotels near by if you were like me and came from out of town. And I’m 100% sure they will take care of what ever you need while you’re in this hospital it is...

Failure to act in accordance with God's will brings negative consequences. Undesirable consequences can lead to a self evaluation that can result in a changed heart and life. Consequences are used by God as discipline to accomplish his ultimate will and purpose for our lives."
Hebrews (12:11)
"No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it."
Proverbs (15:22)
"Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed."
I want to send a special thank you to all the Doctors, Nurses, Nurse Assistants, Rehab Assistants, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, the lunch ladies and men, cleaning ladies, the entire staff, case manager, a every amazing and professional team you have here at this facility. People that care and love their patients.
