I am a little disappointed for my first time to this establishment. I stood in the doorway waiting to see if someone was going to give me a menu and show me where I can sit. I saw a waitress that was laughing with the someone behind the counter. After a few minutes I decided to sit at a table by the door and I waited for the young lady to come over. She never came after I waited again. I walked over to her to ask for a menu and I was told that I had to use my phone to scan the QR code that was on the table. I feel if you have to inform someone how to order then maybe a light bulb should have went off saying this customer probably have never been here before. Behind me was a young man looking at the menu that was provided to him and diagonally to my left was an older male and behind him was an elderly couple. In the immediate area, there wasn't many customers. The waitress went to the older man and gave him a menu but yet for whatever reason I had to scan the QR code. (Both men also had their phones sitting on the table.) I thought that's weird but I order my food. The young lady gave me my food and turned around to walk away. I asked before she leave can she give me some sauce for my ribs, in which she left and came back with the sauce. I could not enjoy my meal because I noticed she went to everybody's table but mind. I heard her ask both men did they like their meals and did they wanted to order anything else. I had been sitting at that table for more than 30 minutes at this point and not once did she even come to the table to see if I needed anything. Customer service was definitely horrible. When I saw a worker heading my way I asked for a carryout container since I was just disgusted on how I was treated. I can only assume that she probably thought I was not going to tip and the men would tip. I left her a tip anyway but not as much as I usually do when I go out. Will I be back? Time will tell because I do not want to be treated like that again. I will provide update when or if I decide to go back.

Service is TERRIBLE. Food is GREAT. 2 of us walk in together on Sunday at 4 ish. There are people but it isn't too packed. The music was blaring, and it was difficult to hear, so we wanted to sit outside. To waitresses were at the register, we tried to make eye contact, but they went to the kitchen, so we sat ourselves on the back patio. We waited 7 minutes or so before we though, maybe they didn't know we were there. We went back in to ask the waitresses for menus. She said she didn't know if there were any seats available ( just walking through the tiny place there was a table inside, and the one outside) we let her know we found a table in the back that was open. We waited 10 minutes to then get water. And we had to call the waitress over to us, she nearly over looked our table. We got water (we ended up getting the water destined for our neighbors table who had stepped away for a smoke break) and ordered drinks. Drinks came quick and were strong!! Very good long island iced tea and Mule. Our drinks were over half finished before we put in our food order. The food took FOREVER. 40 minutes. In this time we did not see the waitress. She did not come refill our water (80 degrees out). She didn't ask how our drinks were, or if we wanted another. ( they were fantastic, and we did ) When the food came we were under whelmed by the size. Maybe our own fault as we had planned on sharing the 1 meal. But for 20$ at a bbq place we expected bigger portions. The food was AMAZING. the meat was well seasoned, soft, and juicy. The sweet potatoes casserole was like desert. I was 'eh' on the jalapeno corn bread biscuit, but it isn't a flavor I usually like. The collard greens were also well prepared. We ate, we shared. No waitress. It wasn't until we were scraping the last little pieces of meat off the bone that she came to us with the wireless payment device and had us pay. No offers for more drinks, or how was it. The entire experience took just over an hour and a half, which -in my opinion- is far too long.

Visited this resturant for the first time because on Sunday's they have "Red Cup" Sundays. Bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Mary's. I wanted to check it out too because my peeps DJ's there from 3-7pm. Missed the DJ action because the flyer said 11-3 and we got there at 1pm. We ordered the Mac Roll appetizer which is mac n cheese and smoked brisket folded in a wonton and then deep fried. They serve it with a sweet and tangy signature dipping sauce which I believe is their BBQ sauce. I also ordered the two meat choice platter that comes with a choice of two sides. I chose ribs and chiken. Sides were PTG baked beans and the Mean Greens. The Chicken was moist and flavorful and thier BBQ sauce is so delicious. The ribs taste good but would not be my first choice mainly because of the fact that I just am not a fat on meat person. But they were tender and moist as well. The meats were really good.. .sides.....well side eye....The beans were ok they didn't taste bad they had a lot of complexity but alot going on. I personally like a sweet baked baked bean then a savory so it's just a preference. The greans had some flavor but no salt at all. I am assuming this is on purpose for diners who suffer from high blood pressure if not....where is the salt!? Otherwise the meal was good the atmosphere is friendly and casual but the place is super small. We sat on the patio which is fine for now, but when That AZ heat really hit it will be like hanging on Satan's porch. I hope they get misters. Will go there again to try some other sides. The Mac roll was delish.

Date of experience - 6/13/20

TL/DR -

Overpriced for the quality of food

Wings were big and juicy but tasted like the inside of a pepper mill

Calling that cornbread is an insult to cornbread

First and last time getting food from here. We spent $50 on food that wasn't even worth half that.

1- Getting the food

I ordered our food online for pickup.  When placing the order I was told that it would be about 20 minutes. It wasn't. My husband arrived to get the order and it wasn't ready and wouldn't be for another 40 minutes.

2- First impressions

Upon finally getting the food home (about 10 minute drive) I open the bag and I can see right away that this is going to be a disappointing meal.

The first thing I notice is that everything is packaged in a see through type plastic container, the kind that you would find pastries in the supermarket in. This in and of itself is not disappointing, though there are other options that are environmentally friendly, what was disappointing was knowing that fries were ordered. I take the fries out and see that my suspicions are confirmed, there is condensation on the inside of the container and a soggy looking mass of waffle fries bunched together in a corner. At least they weren't for me.

Next I take out the "cornbread", and I put this in quotes because calling it corn bread is a generous description. First it was more like a corn muffin, and barely one at that. This was about the size of a brillo pad.

The rest of the food, which consisted of sauced wings, brisket, and a chicken sandwich with chips looked ok, even though the chips seemed to look like they too were going to be soggy.

3- The taste

I can only truly speak for the wings and the "cornbread" but I did have a try of the brisket and fries.

First, the "cornbread". Nope. Don't even bother unless you want an overly sweet muffin top that feels like you are chewing on rubber.

Next, the wings. At first these held a lot of promise. There were 6 wings, nice big wings and had a good amount of sauce on them, which I personally prefer. If these were the only things that they were being judged on then they are well worth the value but, it isn't. I take the first bite and I am overwhelmed with the taste of black pepper. And by overwhelmed I don't mean someone went a little overboard with the pepper mill. I mean that someone thought it was a good idea to perhaps do a shake and bake on these wings with all the black pepper they could find. Since I was not going to waste the money I did finish the wings. It seemed that the pepper was limited to either a rub or the sauce but, I couldn't tell because it was SO overpowering. I really do wish that the outside of the wing was better because the actual meat of the wing was nice and juicy and would have been amazing with just a simple BBQ sauce.

I only took a small bite of the brisket but it seemed to be ok. And based on the reaction of my husband, that is exactly what it was. Just ok.

The...
