Never been a fan of tortas but wanted to try something new today. Viewed reviews and photos on Google and decided to give it a try. I've passed this location on my daily drive to work. Outside looks like an old mini strip mall but inside is a magical hidden world. Once you walk in you notice the updated restaurant and multiple employees at the door to greet you and seat you. As I reviewed the menu which was really extensive, everything looked great! I glanced over and was very surprised and pleased to notice the large staff on hand for a semi- busy day. I love that there is a ton of employees available. Today I tried the Rey Torta ( the king of Kings 🤤). This thing was packed with meat( 4 or 5 to be exact),what seemed to be a few pounds!!!! Topped with a good amount of avocado and melted cheese this is a meal fit for a king. All tortas include ruffle chips. I tried my best to finish the whole sandwich but could only get through half. As I looked over to the bar I seen the bartender making beautiful fruit drinks that had my eyes light up. Service and food is great.

We have been to this restaurant for years and the food and service is always excellent. More recently, we took a group of about 30 friends for dinner and everyone loved it! Thank you to the the Manager Gloria for being so organized, responsive, and excellent to deal with! Outstanding food, fresh, authentic, and extremely flavorful, and an extensive menu for both meat eaters and vegans. You cannot go wrong with a torta, but other excellent choices include quesadillas de maiz (corn tortilla quesadillas, make sure to get it Estilo Del Rey style (green salsa, queso fresco, onions, cilantro, and sour cream)) and huaraches (like a Mexican pizza with beans, green salsa, onions, and queso fresco). Wash it down with fresh and excellent different styles of specialty drinks, agua frescas (natural juice, cremosas with sweetened condensed milk, or liquados (milkshakes)), or a horchata (rice milk plus cinnamon drink). And absolutely make sure to leave room for a healthy dessert like coctel de fruta with miel (fresh fruit cocktail with honey). We will be back, and often!!

I really don’t like to give reviews like these but I will. Apparently, these are the “best tortas in Arizona” and I was meaning to try this place a try for a while already however didn’t get a chance to make it out before. First off, the place was a little warm inside, not sure if the AC wasn’t working but it was warm in there. Maybe, I expect too much but the bread was a little too dry, they definitely could’ve been better. Aside from dry, it feels as if it was missing something as far as flavor. Don’t get me wrong the portions are huge and they’re tortas but it was not the best tortas I’ve had out here. The chips are basically your typical ruffles from a bag. Would I say the best? Not quite. I know I’ve definitely had better out here in Arizona. The aguas frescas didn’t disappoint at all. Would I be back? Maybe if I’m in the area again. Everything was just okay.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS GERM INFESTED MESS OF A RESTAURANT!!!Will never return! My biggest problem was the fact that none of the staff (mostly the waitresses) washed their hands or used hand sanitizer , I noticed one paticular waitress, handling a receipt that was dropped on the floor; she picked it up off the floor than clipped it right over where the food is by the kitchen staff for serving, she than wipped her face with her hand and proceded and picked up a dish with her hands no gloves and served it to a table, this same waitress went to the back came out with a broom and dust pan sweped up a mess near the food station, put the broom back came out and started passig out food dishes again!!!!! NOT ONCE DID SHE WASH HER HANDS!!!! Food was not so good, by the way if you are expecting chips and salsa forget about it you have to purchase them! Overall the food was not that great, its overpriced and was served cold. I did wait to complain to the Manager, had to wait about 20 minutes. When I told the manager about the waitresses not washing hands , her response was "We have hand sanitizing station". I told her that what was the use of having these stations if nobody is using them. I am pretty sure if the health department was to pay them a visit, they would fail in...
