I honestly can't say enough POSSITIVE things about Shirley's Bridal đ What a wonderful bridal shop with SUCH AN INCREDIBLE selection of beautiful wedding dresses! They have Maggie Sottero dresses and so many more to choose from! Kelli and Pam are two of the most wonderful people you will ever meet! They went out of their way, and ABOVE AND BEYOND to help me during one of the nost stressful weeks of wedding planning. Not to mention they are just amazing women and so fun to be around! They are very experienced and both know their stuff! They are honest, patient, kind, inclusive, and knowledgeable! This was all around just the best bridal shop experience I had when shopping for my weddding dress earlier this year!
Before I was lucky enough to find Shirley's Bridal, I spent 4 days in Portland OR. going to "the best-of-the-best" bridal shops. I originally found my DREAM dress in Portland, and was sadly measured completely wrong. I even lost 20lbs between the time I was measured and the time my dress arrived 4 months later for my 1st fitting, and the dress they ordered was still wayyyy too small. Then the Portland shop told me another one couldn't be ordered in time and tried charging me $1,000 + for alterations to make the dress bigger to fit me... when I HAD SHRUNK IN SIZE. I was completely devastated... they wanted to "add fabric" to this beautiful designer dress that should have fit me perfectly - or if anything been a little loose... they wanted to add fabric and move around the embellishments... I was so upset.. and had waited so long, and was being told I was too late to get another size. I was completely discouraged.
Until I found Shirley's Bridal that weekend đ€ I found them while I was down in Southern Oregon meeting with our venue. I was SO distraught and so stressed.. I needed to scramble to find another dress in time for the wedding. When I met Kelli and Pam and told them my story, Kelli got on the phone immediately with the designer company and worked her magic and was able to order me MY DREAM DRESS in MY SIZE. She put a rush on it (they even kindly paid for the rushed shipping) and her and Pam measured me (accurately and several times over). The dress was scheduled to arrive the week before the wedding, but they did it! Any other bridal shop would have said NO. But Kelli and Pam commited to making it happen for me, and doing any last minute alterations the day before the wedding if that's ultimately what I needed. They GENUINELY CARE and that is so rare. Trust me, I went to over 10 bridal shops and tried on dozens of dresses. They all want your money of course, but Shirley's Bridal wants your happiness!!!
I still can't believe I found them and didn't have to settle for a different dress. I got MY dress, and only because Kelli and Pam at Shirley's Bridal MADE IT HAPPEN. I can't thank them enough. If you're looking for people who truly care, and don't just treat you like a number or another "sale", GO TO SHIRLEY'S BRIDAL.    Read moreI HIGHLY recommend Shirley's Bridal! I had asked around for recommendations on bridal shops and quite a few people told me about Shirley's Bridal. I called ahead and spoke with Kelli, the new owner, to see if I should schedule an appointment. During our phone conversation, Kelli took an interest in what I was looking for and spent time answering all my questions, she was definitely patient with me. I scheduled an appointment for 6/29/24 and when I showed up I had a mini entourage with me. Kelli had no problem accommodating all of us. Before we started looking at dresses, Kelli explained how the process would go. I had mentioned to Kelli what my budget was and she was extremely helpful with guiding me to dresses that were within my budget. During our appointment, Kelli took time to learn about how I met my Fiancé our love story, and got to know about my life and why this wedding was so special. She listened to my Mom as she talked her ear off about how excited and emotional she was about her only daughter getting married. After I tried on the first dress, Kelli asked me what my dream dress would be and I described it. A few minutes later she returned with the perfect dress! I tried it on and knew it was the one. Kelli has such a passion for the work that she does! By Kelli listening to all of our stories, some happy and some sad, she got a sense of who I am as a person and was able to find the dress of my dreams. I am grateful that Shirley's Bridal and Kelli are a part of my wedding dress experience, especially considering the fact I was just going to order a dress online or find something at a boutique. Not only was I able to have the whole experience of trying on dresses, my Mother was able to be there to experience it as well. These are memories that I will never forget and that I will forever be grateful for.
I went back for my initial fitting on 7/20/24 and Pam was AMAZING!!! She took the time to show me both bustle options for the dress and I went with the traditional one. Pam answered all of my questions regarding the alterations and adjusted where I felt needed a little more taken in. Pam went above and beyond because she typically needs 2 weeks to do the alterations before coming in for the final fitting. She explained that if any additional alterations were needed she would need another week. When I told her that if more altercations were needed that would put us on my wedding day 8/10/24. Without hesitation, Pam changed my final fitting to 8/1/24, even though that would add additional pressure on her to get the alterations done. I go back tomorrow for the final fitting and I cannot even express how excited I am!
I know this is a long review, and I still don't think that it fully explains how AMAZING Shirley's Bridal is! Kelli has the best customer service as well as such a personable personality. I never felt that I was being pressured into trying on something that I did not like or pressured into buying anything. Pam is also very detailed, friendly, and loves what she does.

   Read moreUnfortunately, my experience with Shirleyâs Bridal Salon has been terrible from beginning to end. My friend won a private bridesmaids dress fitting through a raffle the wedding expo at the armory, and we showed up ready to have a fun time and find a dress for her special day. We all left feeling severely disappointed. From the style selection, to Shirleyâs (lack of) customer service skills.
First off, the dress style selection left much to be desired. I donât think any of the available styles have been updated since 2003. Incredibly gaudy, tacky, and outdated. Secondly, Shirley couldnât remember the brides name. Throughout the whole three hours we were there, she didnât get her name right even ONCE. Additionally, at several points while measuring us bridesmaids, she made very discouraging comments on our body types. Telling the tinier ones that they needed to âput more meat on their bonesâ and telling the others that they could invest in shape wear to have the dresses âfit rightâ.
Thankfully, she allowed us to put the dresses on a payment plan, which was very convenient seeing as we were dress shopping 9 months before the wedding. In that time, Shirley has been calling and harassing us for months trying to get us to pay it off in full. I understand her frustration, but we have signed papers stating that we are responsible for the dresses & we have already put money down for them. Yesterday, she called and when I said I could get it paid off soon, but my other (monthly) bills take a priority over a dress I wonât need until September, she told me to get my priorities straight. Today, she charged the brides debit card for all the bridesmaids dresses. She did not receive authorization to charge the card. The bride was not responsible for our bridesmaids dresses. We have all signed papers saying we are individually responsible for our own dresses. The bride has already spoken to her bank and reversed the charge, and Shirley is now withholding the brides dress until we come in and get our dresses. At this point, I no longer want to give Shirley my hard earned money, but I feel OBLIGATED to because she is holding the brides dress hostage.
