Went for Grand opening day buffet and was meet with huge line. I get that it’s opening day but there was no organization visible and it was chaos. Food was done in between mainly all non veg items and refill was not happening on time. After long wait I got some non veg items especially chicken 65 (was not that flavorful), shrimp fry ( same not flavorful), mutton curry was ok not that great, mutton biriyani was on the dry side. Overall it was an ok experience compared to wha we had in Cary. Went to see how the dinner experience will be but was greeted with not so good customer service. We reached there by 8:45 and were told they were not taking any more customer. But if you google it shows 10 PM close. There are ways to address customers in a way they don’t get offended . Mango desert was the one thing that was worth second time. I will try there one more time after this chaos and see if it was an opening day trouble or permanent one.
Update 11/16: we went for dinner and wanted to updated after that. Menu was huge and has lot of items in using some exotic meats like deer and rabbit. That was unique. We ordered Chennai style chilli chicken which was good. Also ordered lime juice masala which is essentially lime juice with chat masala so it depends on people’s bud tastes. We also ordered Lamb Jaffery which was ok a sit had no or very less salt to taste. Also ordered poori masala which also had same issue as salt less. Prices are on higher end as two Malabar parotta will cost you around $10.99 which is on very high side. I would recommend onetime dining to taste and then decide...
Read moreHello Owners, this feedback is for you guys. It's a new restaurant and first impression is the best impression, our experience was horrible from service to Food.
We ordered below things and here is my feedback.
Firstly Service was horrible, we waited 25 min just to even talk to someone. No, restaurant was not full. It was may be 60% full. Finally after 45 min, we got food on table. But that's understood as it's new restaurant.
Chilli Gobi semi dry- The taste was like just Gobi fried in oil and saauted with chilli powder. I ate multiple times to even feel the flavor. Nothing in it.
Delhi Street Chicken Kabeb - It worst tandoori I ever tried, again expect chicken being well cooked i could feel any flavor again with chilli powder. No salt, nothing. I just enjoyed onions and lime that came with it.
Chicken Dum Biryani - please lets not call it DUM biryani. This was height of all, the portion was soo less and secondly biggest joke is it came with 2 egg and one small piece of chicken. Now I m wondering what will we get with Egg Biryani. Gosh.
Egg fried rice - I don't know what to say about this, we just ate 1 spoon each and literally took it take out to show friends even fried rice can be this worst and blend and It was chilli flakes fired rice. Anyways,I am
It's 76$ for 2 Appetizer and 1 biryani and 1 fried rice. All I wish...
Read moreI’m so glad Charlotte finally has a true South Indian Chettinad-style restaurant, and this place delivers in the best way. The buffet had an incredible variety of dishes — far more than I expected — and every item tasted fresh, flavorful, and authentically Tamil. You can tell the chefs really know their craft because the aromas, the spices, and the balance of flavors felt exactly like home cooking from back in Tamil Nadu.
Their opening day was unbelievably crowded. The turnout was way beyond what anyone could have predicted, which led to some understandable chaos with the lines and payment flow. But honestly, the crowd showed how excited people were to try real Chettinad food in Charlotte. Even with the rush, the team stayed kind and worked hard to keep everyone fed. And the best part is that they fixed the service issues right away the next day, so everything is already running smoother.
I genuinely appreciate the effort they put into bringing an authentic South Indian experience here. The food is excellent, the options are abundant, and the taste is easily among the best I’ve had in the Carolinas. If you’re a fan of Tamil or Chettinad cuisine — or even if you’re just curious — this restaurant is absolutely worth visiting. I’m excited to see them grow and become a staple in...
