Very relaxed environment and good vibes seating area. Friendly staff. Bonus points for having arrangement for prayer. Unique options like pulled beef that is hard to find halal. I think it would be beneficial to have alternative bun options other then white flour for people who are sensitive to white flour and also low sugar and sugar free drink options. Pulled beef and loaded fries had a unique minty desi spice flavoring. I am hoping it was w/o high fructose corn syrup. Overall amazing new initiative that can become much better with a few tweaks. Best of luck to the owners and staff!
Update 6/1/2024
Tried some new things and had a great experience. Homemade lemonade was just right. Not loaded with sugar like other drinks and had black salt in it. Very good. Masala Chai was on point as well. Beef burger was fantastic. Gulab jamun cake was amazing as well. Just wish they used a better flour other then all purpose, white flour that is enriched/processed.
Sent an email 7/18/24 but didn't get a response back.
Update 12/28/24 Went in for dinner with a friend around 8PM. There were a lot more ppl there because of the holidays. We got seats on the side of the counter but later a small table opened up so we grabbed that. I was surprised that they/chef pairs wagyu with a white sesame bun rather than a brioche. It goes so much better with the brioche. I was not a fan of the chutney in that, chaska does that better. Other than that anda shami was good and reminded me of the ones I've had in PK. Classic, smash, and pulled beef were on point as usual. The large masala chai cups were worth the $6.
Update 5/4/25 A little disappointed with this visit as the chicken burger was cold and even the buns were not heated. Other than that the classic hit the spot and the pulled beef was good as well. Salaam Cola was not cooled properly and tasted very meh. Props to them still for having prayer accommodations. I hope they have better cups that don't have plastic lining that lead us to ingesting microplastics. This is a bigger problem but hope they take this feedback into account and improve. =)
Update 5/24/25. 3 Times in a row for a month. Spent about $70 there and it would have been a kind gesture to have the tumbler filled to the top for chai but it was measured and reduced to a cup's size. Not a good business impression to leave for a regular customer. Especially considering the total amount that was spent...
Read moreI've visited here twice, and I was remiss for not having reviewed it after my first visit. But after eating here again recently, I'm compelled to sing their praises.
First visit: crispy chicken burger (medium heat) + pulled beef grilled cheese Second visit: chicken paratha (medium heat) + New Zealand lamb chops
The chicken is supremely tasty and flavorful. Chicken burger, chicken paratha, anything with chicken is bound to be a win. The spice rub and heat level are very satisfying for those of us who enjoy a bit of a kick. And the Khokha sauce is just to die for; dripping down the sides of my chicken burger, I honestly could've consumed a bowl of that sauce and called it a day.
Shoutout to Devour Power for suggesting the pulled beef grilled cheese. This came with their signature Khokha chutney - phenomenal! Even though it looked smaller than the chicken burger, this pulled beef grilled cheese was so filling. It was loaded with cheese and beef. So simple. Such an easy 10/10!
A friend of mine recommended the lamb chops. And judging by other reviewers, they seem to be one of the most popular options on the menu. There are two choices: Australian and New Zealand lamb chops. Aside from a $1 difference in price, I wasn’t sure about the difference between the two. I picked the New Zealand chops because I just sense that New Zealanders are more gentle with raising and curating their livestock haha. Ordered the chops with medium doneness. These were exquisitely tender and flavorful. The spice rub, especially in the grill mark areas, is what renders the most complete flavor. It paired very well with the Khokha chutney and the refreshing salad cup. My only gripe is that they looked so teeny tiny when I first saw them in the serving tray. But I suppose it’s a fair size for $12 (not well acquainted with the pricing and market of lamb chops).
In terms of the ambience and environment, it's very quaint and comforting. The front end with the register and pickup counter is adorned with a wooden pergola surrounded by rustic incandescent bulbs. It imparts a homey, casual feel to the space. Staff is incredibly pleasant and professional, making the customers feel very comfortable in their establishment. Always a go-to whenever...
Read moreBeen salivating about this place based on the pics and reviews. I came for the burger, specifically the smash burger. The burger was absolutely delicious. On taste alone it was a 10/10. The sizing was smaller than expected for 10.99. For reference it’s the size of a junior burger from Five Guys, but with 2 thin patties. It was delicious, but felt more like a snack than a meal. The fries were decent and hot, but nothing to write home about.
The Chatpatay wings were a nice portion for the price point. They were crispy, but I personally didn’t care too much for the sauce. That’s on me, I was expecting a sweet soy type of sauce and this more tangy. Not bad, just unexpected.
I tried the Mint Mojito lemonade and found it gross. It was salty which I wasn’t expecting. In my defense I asked for a sample and was denied. However, the guy there was nice enough to let me switch out my drink for one of the bottled beverages.
I was hesitant to try a milkshake based on my drink experience, but the biscotti chai milkshake was tempting. On a scale of 1-10 with 1 being water and 10 being so thick you need to use all your core muscle to pull it through a straw this milkshake’s viscosity was at a 2, about the thickness of reduced fat milk. I did not detect any of the Biscoff cookie butter it was supposedly made with. The chai flavor was present and the milkshake wasn’t overly sweet (it was barely sweet). I’m sure it works for some people, but for me it was a waste of calories and $7.49.
All in all, I’d visit again just on the burgers alone. If they want some free advice, I’d ask management decide if they wanna be a cute bistro or fast food joint. They’re kinda in between right now. They offer $60 lamb ribs on the menu but are giving plastic utensils and plastic cups. Upgrade the burger buns to a solid brioche buns and offer good brand name ketchup not the ones from the school cafeteria. Standardize how many scoops of ice cream goes into the milkshake. Ideally the ratio should be 60:40 ice...
