I've been to this IHOP a good amount of times. I'm not going to lie I only go there because my baby likes being there. she seems to like the food there actually more than I do. I've ordered.. chicken fingers & french fries, eggs, pancakes, steak & eggs, strawberry lemonades, blueberry lemonade, coffee and a number of other things. on one occasion we had ordered steak and eggs that comes with two pancakes and a bowl of fruit actually two sides.. but she wanted a bowl of fruit that day she got towards the bottom of the bowl from the fruit, offered me some and I noticed that there was a piece of wrapper from the straw stuck on the bowl.. eww meaning dishwasher did not do a good job.. another incident I asked for turkey bacon they gave me pork bacon. i kind of argued with one of the waitresses because she insisted that it was turkey bacon when it was pork bacon, and not supposed to eat pork due to religion. another incident I ordered steak and eggs the eggs were runny and had shell in them that's a definite deal-breaker for me! sorry but not sorry. another incident I ordered something that came with a crepe and I asked for the cinnamon one and got the strawberry Nutella flavor. the waitresses seem to always be hospitable but for some reason there's something wrong with the cooks not quite sure if there's too much noise back there or if they just don't care or maybe they're just used to making repetitive meals that when they hear something different come up they suddenly don't realize it's different and they just give you the same thing. I apologize I don't like to complain especially to people who are making my food but if I have no intention on going back I would not care how they felt but like I said my baby likes going there so I kind of put up with it other than that it's...
Read moreI recently visited IHOP for breakfast, drawn in by the thought of a hearty meal to start my day. To my surprise, the parking lot was unusually spacious for a morning, especially for a place like IHOP. As I walked through the doors, I was met with an empty counter, and there was no one available to greet me.
As I waited, I noticed a group of three Hispanic women at a nearby table, engaged in animated gossip. Eventually, the shortest among them, Asalia A, approached me. Instead of offering a friendly welcome, she handed me a menu with a dismissive attitude, instructing me to wait for her to show me to my table. I decided to overlook her rudeness; I was far too hungry to let it bother me.
When I was finally seated and my order was taken, I encountered the same unfriendly demeanor. Despite this, I focused on enjoying my meal. After finishing, I raised my hand to signal for my bill. When Asalia arrived with it, I handed her my card and made a point to write "no tip" on the receipt. She immediately reacted with surprising hostility, repeatedly asking if everything was okay, as if I had done something wrong. I simply replied "yes," to which she responded by rolling her eyes.
Feeling more assertive after my meal, I decided to approach the manager to address the situation. When I inquired about Asalia's name and raised my concerns about her unpleasant attitude, she defended her behavior rather than acknowledging my experience. In front of the manager, Asalia complained that I hadn’t left her a tip.
It left me wondering if IHOP could consider increasing wages for their staff. Perhaps a better work environment would lead to friendlier service, allowing patrons like me to enjoy their meals in...
Read moreEdit: Received a call from the owner today and all she cared about was accusing me of lying and why I left a negative review. Nothing about resolving the situation or an apology or anything. Constantly hounding me about why we finished the food if it was cold. She couldn't comprehend that I wouldn't waste food no matter how many times I tried explaining it to her. Idk what kind of privileged life she's living. She made it sound like I was out to get her establishment. Since she took the time to call me while I was at work just to argue with me, I will take the time to contact corporate and also do a charge back. I was going to leave it at a negative review and not go back there unless I didn't have a choice, but her attitude has encouraged me to take it a step further. Terrible service and even worse management.
Waited in the seating area for 15 minutes and no one even asked if we were waiting. I had to go up to the counter and ask them when they'd have a table ready. Then they seated us in the middle, right by the kitchen and bathroom where people kept going in and out. We had our baby in a car seat on the ground sleeping. When the food finally came it was sooo cold. We ordered the full breakfast platters. The only thing that was hot was the hashbrowns. Pancakes, eggs and meat were all cold. Then they upcharged for everything. We switched all the meat to turkey and they upcharged both platters. Asked to switch to french toast instead of pancakes and they said there would be an upcharge even though we'd be giving up 2 pancakes for 1 piece of french toast. Very...
