Would give zero stars due to Laura and Leah’s unprofessional attitude and customer service, rather lack there of. Went today as an out of state shopper. Green was the color half off, apparently at this location it doesn’t apply. At any other location the 50% off color applies to everything in the store. I left and returned in 5minutes for 1/2 off the two items that were green. Laura who checked us out said upon returning that green discount didn’t apply to shoes. I just asked for a refund for 1/2 the cost and Leah came over and said we only do it on electronics. When I asked for a manager Leah laughed and said “ok.” The next customer Laura had she said “just so you know these aren’t half off.” Leah returned and said I can do it this one time and I never saw the manager. When I brought up the fact Laura told the next customer about the 1/2 of excluding her items Laura inappropriately raised her voiced and said “if you want to get technical, I shouldn’t have to remind people.” Leah also raised her voice when all I wanted was to keep the item but get it at the 1/2 color discount. Instead I retuned the item. Next training should be for the both of them at not raising their voice and treating customers...
Read moreI used to really like this store til the manager on duty insulted me and my father while I was trying to make a purchase. The return date for electronics is 7 days. This guy had the audacity to argue with me and my father who has been working IT for the last 40 years. That's something wasn't an electronic. I live in Stamford which is a 40 to 45 minute drive On a good day. This guy actually suggested that I come back the next day and they would take the item to the back "possibly" retag it if it was deemed an electronic and then I could buy it then but they wouldn't guarantee they would hold it for me or it would be at the same price that it was originally labeled. I took a chance and purchased the item and thankfully it worked. But the insinuations and insults this person threw at us were unforgivable and I cannot enge in good conscience shop at the store again nor recommend...
Read moreI've been a life long thrift store shopper and I have given up on this Goodwill altogether. There prices are way too high for the few nice items that they have. I hit the last straw when I went to buy soccer cleats for my son, they had new ones that were $25, a little over priced I thought but oh well. Then I looked at the tag from the store that donated them, they were $30 retail, seemed like a high price for something they got for free. Then I went to Marshall's and they had much nicer Nike soccer cleats for 19.99, I almost felt like a sucker. The point of buying second hand is for it to be cheaper, if it's not cheaper there is no point in shopping there and furthermore they ripping off low income people. My advice is to shop for sales, and if you are in need of clothes and don't have much money go to the Christian Center or WMLA where you can get second hand...
