We came here looking for some wedding bands and saw all the good reviews so we thought this would be a good experience. Well we were wrong. I have never felt so uncomfortable before. We were not greeted at all and when we asked for help getting my husband’s finger sized the lady behind the counter(didn’t even gives us her name) pulled out the measuring tool, left it on the counter, and walked away. I know they are not hard to use but she could have at least assisted and guided us. We got her attention once again, told her we were looking for wedding bands and asked if she could help. She helped us look at a few for myself but when I asked questions she was not friendly whatsoever, would barely even look at me. My husband came in not sure what he was looking for in a wedding band and made that clear to her. She suggested he just try some stuff out but didn’t point us in the direction to the men’s bands. We took that as a sign that she was not interested in helping us. We literally got married this morning and just wanted to get some wedding bands. You sell jewelry, mostly rings… you see a couple walk in and don’t think to say hi or ask what they are up to? I don’t want to assume the worst but I can only think of one reason for this treatment. I would not recommend this place to anyone. We will be bringing our business to where my husband purchased my engagement ring. The rings here are stunning but I cannot support a...
Read moreMy family contracted Jim from Ancient Gold to make a custom gold pendent from an existing piece of jewelery we gave him to copy. We said "We want to make a copy of this pendent." Jim communicated complete confidence in his ability to reproduce the pendent. After $150 the product he produced was not a "copy" of the original at all. When we complained he blamed us for not being clear about what we wanted. I asked him if he remembered us asking for a copy? He said yes but that it was impossible to reproduce. When I asked him why he took the project when we asked him if he could make the copy he said my request "isn't reasonable." When I confronted him for not turning down a project he couldn't do just to get my money he blew me off and said he'd make the pendent smaller if I wanted so it would be closer to the original but to make a mold for a production of the exact same charm would cost me $150. When I reminded him I'd already paid $150 dollars and asked why he didn't make a mold to begin with he said "you didn't ask me to." I don't know how to be any more specific than asking for a copy! It's pretty...
Read moreAvoid, Avoid , Avoid, ZERO STAR I recently had an experience at this jewelry store where I took a ring in for repair. Unfortunately, the person who fixed the jewelry was not very friendly and seemed a bit distant he had a hollow lookin his eyes also!!! They took my grandmother's ring to the back, and I could see him using a tool that appeared to be scraping the top of the ring. Worried about the potential damage, I decided to take it to another jewelry shop for a second opinion. To my dismay, they informed me that the stone had various types of damage that was done with a jewelry tool. This was in stark contrast to what the previous jewelry store had told me, as they had claimed the stone was in pristine condition. ( I went to 3 different stores the same day) It's important to be cautious considering this particular jewelry store, as it seems that they may use jewelry tools in a way that could potentially harm your precious pieces. When I tried to discuss the issue with them over the phone, they actually hung up on me twice. I would strongly advise avoiding this jewelry...
