Island SPACE Caribbean Museum — Local services in Plantation

I attended a training course and they took us here for a field trip. I'm truly happy I attended. I didn't know that inside Broward Mall, there is a Caribbean Culture museum. I am happy there is this new addition to the mall. It's the only one of its kind. According to the tour guide, it's the only Caribbean museum in the United States, which is cool.

The staff & volunteers are very friendly and professional. The tour guide was very knowledgeable, and the artist that helped us with our project is very skilled. We had such a great experience. It's a medium-sized location, and I pray that one day, they can have a bigger location to keep displaying all of the Caribbean islands' history and artifacts. There is so much history that must be preserved and teach, especially what is going on in Florida, with trying to teach fake history.

Island SPACE Caribbean Museum is an archive, exhibit and event space in Plantation, Florida. It features a collection of artifacts, iconic paraphernalia, cultural relics and historical data. This Caribbean museum also displays fine art that represents South Florida’s Caribbean communities. In this unique museum, guests learn the history, heritage and culture of the Caribbean people and the impact of the Caribbean Diaspora on the American landscape. I like this educational Caribbean Museum, however I gave it 4 stars because it is very small. You can check out everything in probably just 20 minutes. As you step through the doors of the museum you’re transported to a place where all Caribbean cultures and heritages are celebrated. Recognition of our forerunners, and present Caribbean leaders and influencers are highlighted. The museum is a place where inspiration grows and is ideal for school trips, summer class trips , families and anyone of and even not of Caribbean descent can come learn and grow in understanding of people, events and cultures that paved the way for where we are now and where we are going.
