THINK TWICE BEFORE RENTING HERE.
I have lived at this complex for over three years the last year or so the complex was bought by another company and everything has changed. All the good reviews you see on here are for the old company not for the current one. I will attach details and photos of my experience living in this complex. I sincerely hope you do not rent here and have a bad experience as I have.
We’ve had multiple AC issues that were not fixed quickly or efficiently.
The complex will turn the water off without any warning or notice.
The complex will send multiple passive aggressive emails to you with needless information.
The patios are not stable and there are constant ant and leaking problems.
-You are also right next-door to a childcare facility and a church so there are kids screaming all day long that echo through the complex.
There are stone stairs in our complex that have been literally broken for well over a year and the complex will not fix.
-The trash has been overflowing multiple times.
-The sidewalks are not salted or treated during the winter months, making it extremely dangerous during the winter.
The staff here could not be more disappointing, they are never at the office or available by phone. The assistant manager is rude and shouldn’t be in this line of work.
Although the company won’t care to read this review, I hope you potential renters do because this...
Read moreI recently sold my home in Platte City, but wanted to continue living here. I initially visited with Susan while deciding to sell my home and found her to be very friendly and helpful and did not pressure me in any way. When my home sold the first day, I was on a short time frame to get moved. I worked with Glenda and she was terrific and like Susan, very helpful. I rented a 2nd floor two bedroom apartment. When Glenda and I did the walk thru, I only found one very minor problem with a couple of holes in the overhead beam that needed to be corrected. The apartment was one that had been upgraded at an earlier date, but was immaculate. Since I moved in, I've received my first two energy bills and was amazed at how small they were and this was during some very hot weather. Both maintenance men, James and Charlie, are very friendly and quick to respond to any problem. I'm 74 years old and have lived in apartments in the past. The neighbors I've met so far are very friendly and I don't have any problem with noise. I can honestly say that I've slept better since I moved here than I did when I owned my home. I don't know what was going on with the couple of negative reviews I've read here, but they are certainly 180 degrees opposite of what I am...
Read moreI'd suggest looking elsewhere. I hated living at Williamsburg Plaza. One of the ladies working the office was always incredibly rude and was accusational every time I had to call in with a simple maintenance request. The maintenance guys were friendly enough, but they never fixed things very well. They basically just covered up the problems so that they would temporarily be less noticeable. The apartment always stank. The playground was infested with wasps all summer and when they got rid of the wasps and repainted it in the fall, they didn't seal it with anything so the paint just rubbed off on your kids' clothes and shoes. Also, if you choose to live here like we did, do not count on getting your security deposit back. They will charge you for things that you know for a fact were not broken. You will be greatly disappointed.
I am giving this 2 stars instead of 1 because it is basically just the majority of management that is not so great. Debbie was the only one who was never rude. Williamsburg Plaza needs more people like her. The apartments themselves are liveable and would be much more pleasant if management would put more effort into proper upkeep. The location is nice with easy interstate access and the library and YMCA within...
