Livid. So two weeks ago my son managed to run out the front door and down the strip before a stranger caught him. Half the time no one is in the office so luckily someone was there to at least notice and cars like to fly down that road so I'm greatful he fidjt go to the street and get hit by a car! I was called and told to come get him while at work and told he needed a behavior plan and that he was a liability. Also come to find out he has been bullied and not a word was said to me about this. I picked him up about an hour and a half earlier than normal seeing him running from a kid saying stop it, leave me alone and then the kid smashing plastic toys in my sons face not two feet away from me! The last two weeks ( which he only stayed because I still had to pay for their two week policy) there were no extra steps or security to ensure the safety of the children. If my son got out so can someone else's. I only pray this never happens again and more security is added. From the moment a child is dropped off to the moment they are picked up, it is the DAYCARES responsibility for the safety and security of the children. No parent should ever be afraid of their child's wellbeing in the hands of their caretakers.
Wanted to add some additional comments. I was told he was "running around with a friend" before his escape. So someone was in fact aware of where he was. And I'm sure it was more running AWAY from him. I asked him what the other kid was doing to him and if he was picking on other kids and he said yes, he pushes and hits, and kicks and pinches. And the only reason it's not a 1 star is because he's done really well with potty training there. But dropping him off at his new daycare this morning, he didn't cling and yell me not to leave like he's been doing, he was excited to meet some...
Read moreI’ve been debating whether or not to post this for months, but I can’t stop thinking about it—especially knowing I once trusted this place with my child’s care. Being a parent is hard enough; the last thing we should have to worry about is our child’s safety and well-being. We experienced multiple issues with this daycare, but one particular incident was the final straw. From the constant illnesses (and yes, I understand daycares are often breeding grounds for germs—but that’s no excuse for poor cleaning and sanitizing practices) to the emotional and mental mistreatment of children—like being left in high chairs for hours as punishment—it became impossible to stay silent. On top of that, the facility repeatedly raised its prices, claiming it was to increase teacher salaries and provide more nutritious meals. Yet, staff confirmed there were no raises, and the food being served was far from healthy—mostly processed junk with little to no nutritional value. What makes speaking out even harder is knowing that some of the staff are truly wonderful. A few have treated my child with genuine care and kindness, and for that, I’m incredibly grateful. This post is not meant to discredit those individuals—but rather to highlight systemic issues that shouldn’t be ignored. Please do your research before trusting anyone with your child’s care. You can look up any daycare in the state of Missouri. Ask questions. Stay informed. Your child’s safety and development...
Read moreThere’s not many daycares around Leavenworth and into Platte City - especially if you’re military. But honestly choose any other place around here - you’ll be happier.
This daycare is horrible with communication. Randomly charges a different amount each week and doesn’t answer emails. I gave notice after 2 days because I was so frustrated with the lack of care of what you’re paying for even when it’s written out and communicated with staff.
My husband has been able to walk in randomly with no one questioning him who he is or if he needs something.
Couldn't imagine if someone rando could do that and...
