Pleasant Hill isn't one of my favorite East Bay towns but this is one of my favorite Off the Grid locations because the area is so clean, spacious and well maintained. Ahn the Go is my favorite regular truck for sweet and savory garlicky noodles with varying toppings. There is always beer and ice cream of some sort. Usually options for lobster rolls, falafel and BBQ. Free parking!

Had an order of Sandwico del Mundo's Vegan Empanadas ($7): deep-fried breaded treats stuffed with seasonal veggies, tofu, chipotle corn masa, arugula, & pico de gallo. Also had an order of (Vegan) Tots from Drewski's Hot Rod Kitchen ($4): crispy tater tots (potato) cooked in olive oil & seasoned with rosemary. Great variety in food trucks. Friendly crowds with lots of small children & dogs on leashes that make the atmosphere lively. If you get here early enough Adirondack Chairs are available. Live music is eclectic and not too loud. One of my favorite things to do on a...
