3/21.. Well, here I am AGAIN, Just about a year later from my previous comment. Since Michael Kay was such a big help last time, I called to see if he would meet us since I was now in need of a dinette set and another mattress! ( No not to replace the one I bought last year) The experience had not changed, except for the masks! Michael asked what size and color dinette I was looking for and showed us what he thought would be a "good fit". He explained everything about the protection coverage and made sure I received the mattress we wanted. One thing that I definetly have learned is that you have to buy from a reputable company if you want your furniture and bedding to last. The mattress I am replacing was only 2 years old (bought from a "mattress company" which I thought would be of better quality!!) So how, we're only shopping at R&F, which is saving us money in the long runš..
3/20.. This was my first visit to a Raymour Flanigan store. I was in the market for a mattress that had to be an extra long twin, 13-14" high and firm or extra firm. Believe me,they are not that easy to find on line!. I saw one on the R&F site that was pretty close to what I wanted, but wanted to see it in person. I called a head of time and spoke to Michael Kay, who was very helpful on the phone. Told him we'd bein about 3 that afternoon. As soon as we walked in the front door, I told the gentleman standing near the front entrance that I was there to see Michael. Well, that guy WAS Michael! He was actually waiting to greet us!. He welcomed us to the store and proceeded to escort us to the beds area. Asked me why I picked that mattress on line. Shows us that one and then another one that was actually a little cheaper, but he said was better mattress. I was so impressed with Michael and the store, that I stared looking at other items for future purchases! I just can't say enough about my first experience with R&F, except that it definitely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe employee culture was very rude and insulting. We came in asking for bar height table set and instead of them saying they do not carry them she directed us to counter height sets and walked away to converse with a male employee who corrected her on the height of the table, instead of her fixing or correcting her mistake eith us she walked away with the employee telling him "people never know what they want.....they come in asking for one thing not knowing what they are talking about."
Now we saw the set on the website and wanted to see it in person, so we called her back over..."giving her the benefit of doubt, as in maybe that was a one off remark or simply embarrassed! but it kept getting worse. She was rude and insulting the whole time. we came in to buy the furniture and instead of providing us with the price of the full set , she would insult us by trying to get us to finance! I had to then blatantly tell her we are not interested in financing and we will pay for the item if we decide to purchase. As we began to leave the store in disbelief she caught up to us to get the pricing for us. Now we paid for everything simply because we wanted the set so badly, but once we left the store we realized how upset we were about the whole ordeal. My husband was quietly seething, I knew he did not want to be there another moment. So we called and canceled the purchase and bought our set from a different furniture store all together.
Unfortunately we had no interest in giving Raymond and Flannigan our...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI brought my mother, aged 94 to the store to purchase a power lift chair. She uses a walker. As we got to the front of the store I realize that the cut in the sidewalk for wheelchairs, strollers, etc. is quite a distance from the front door. No problem, I lifted the walker up and helped my mother navigate the step and we went into the store. Annoying at best. The salesman was very friendly, but all of the powerlift recliners were at the far end of the store. I mentioned to him that people coming to look at power lift chairs were either elderly or had some kind of injury and neither would welcome the walk that we had to take to get to the chairs. It took her awhile, but my mother finally got to the recliners. I had done my research ahead of time, by checking your website to see what chairs would be available for faster delivery and the website said that it could be delivered in 3 days. Great! Now you can understand my frustration when the salesman told us that none of the chairs were available for quick delivery, and in fact the one we wanted wouldn't even be in the country for 6 weeks, and even that was an estimate.
I understand that things are different, due to Covid, but the website should have been updated. It's a false claim. Very misleading. Thankfully I found the same chair on an online marketplace and picked it up the next day for a fraction of the cost of the one at the store. No thanks, Raymour and Flanigan, next time I need furniture, I will...
