I decided to come here on New Years Day, hoping that I could start out the day with great service and a delicious meal. I figured there would be a wait but we ended up waiting for an hour, even though we were told 20 minutes. This restaurant chain could really use a pager/text message system for reservations. It would also be a great option to offer online reservations. So many guests were upset and angry about the unrealistic promised wait times. Several guests were sitting in chairs in the store area because they could no longer stand. While I do understand why this restaurant is set up to have patrons enter in through the store and wait there, it is not optimal experience for the customer. It had trouble navigating the aisles and trying to find somewhere to stand while waiting. Other customers were constantly bumping into the items on the shelves by accident. There are rocking chairs lined along the outside wall of the store for sitting but it was too cold. This location needs a proper area for guest to enter and wait. Please consider removing some displays in the store and put comfortable seating in its place. I was also disappointed in how the hostess handled the concerns of the guests. If a customer inquires why they have been waiting for an hour and 20 minutes versus the 30 minute given estimate, their concern is valid and shouldn’t be rudely dismissed. Once we were finally seated, our waitress did a great job of getting us beverages, taking our orders and making sure the food came out. I ordered the fried catfish with home fries and scrambled eggs. The potatoes were cold but tasted pretty good. The rest of the food was on the bland side so I had to add salt and butter to just about everything. After my experience here, I can’t say I’m counting down the days to my next visit. Hopefully if I do return, it won’t be as crowded. I see why people love this place. The decor is fun and old-timey and the overall atmosphere is comfortable. This place is worth a visit just in the hopes that you’ll have a much better experience than mine.

I had a great experience here tonight. This is my second time here & I can’t say I had an issue. We even split the check, we’re leaving when closing, and I usually try to avoid both of those scenarios of being “those people” and they handled that friendly and quick. The food was great. Everyone enjoyed their food. I usually get the catfish. I ended up getting it split, one fried and one spicy and they both were good. Get the fried though with some ketchup and hot sauce and you good. The corn bread wasn’t the greatest and biscuits just be dry in general. Everything else was great. We went to celebrate my friends birthday and the waiter caught wind of it and got him chocolate cake and ice cream on the house, which was thoughtful. They came over 3 deep to sing with us. Also, which I thought was cool, one of the older women working there came over to our table to play Heads Up with us. She was really sweet and fun. I love great staff. It makes all the difference to me. Our waiter Joshua was cool. Super chill and laid back but on point with what he needed to do. I usually enjoy a hype and funny waiter or waitress but didn’t mind him at all. Then the place is just dope. I love the store before the restaurant part and the things hanging from the ceiling. I live in Philly so this is like the North Pole for me lol but it’s cool because it makes it more of a “every now and again” place and not something we can just pull up on every other day. Well that’s it. Check it out. Get the catfish. They also serve breakfast all Day which is a major plus. And the cost for the amount of food you get you cannot beat.

Went out to watch a movie (Dune Part Two!) with my brother and visited Cracker Barrel for dinner! The new spring menu was delicious and something I have been wanting to try for a while now ever since I saw it on the internet! The Golden Carolina BBQ Chicken Tenders along with a side of Steak Fries and Mac & Cheese was absolutely scrumptious! Would love to go back again and indulge myself in some more fried food despite it being unhealthy for me! And the tangy golden bbq sauce was the cherry on top! So so delicious! The server was very kind and accommodating for every request we made and question we asked! At first, I thought he was a little rude, but honestly, his unapologetic attitude was refreshing compared to other servers I had in the past haha! And the free biscuits and butter were always a nice addition to the amazing food they always serve! Would love to come back and try new menu items when they update it! Also I absolutely love the shop connected to the dining room! I never buy anything, but I think its really really neat and fun! Maybe one day, I'll buy something! Also also the menu items are reasonably price where I feel like I won't break the bank whenever I go here so that's a HUGE positive in my book!

Jonathan was manager on duty. He was welcoming, courteous, and escorted us to our table. He offered another table/location if we preferred a 4 top instead of the 2 top . Molly was our server. She was prompt, friendly and our food came out quickly and asked if there was anything else she could bring us. She also cleared away our empty plates before we were ready to leave the table, asking if we needed a to go container and was soon back with it . I appreciated having choices for making my breakfast and liked seeing symbols (also easy to find what the symbol meant) letting me know what was quick to fix and what was low calorie. The eggs, grits and spicy chicken sausage I ordered was nicely prepared. I would like to experience a better flavor in the food. This has more to do with the quality of product purchased. A better quality spicy chicken sausage may be more expensive, however 1 piece (a larger size) instead of 2 pieces of a lower quality can be a much better flavor experience, healthier and just as filling and also cost effective. Testing the quality/flavor of products using employees (wait staff, kitchen and management) work well and promote team building. Maybe you do this already? As for GF and vegan/vegetarian. Would be good to have x - no need for more than two GF or vegan/vegetarian. Can be put on the menu in a block of space. Already, the grits will work. Can jazz them up with offering complimentary condiments and a picture of what can look like. Can be vegan or GF. Condiments make the difference - real bacon crumbles, butter and maple syrup, toppings of a good quality sour cream, yogurt, etc. Neil was at the checkout counter. He was friendly and helpful. I was really impressed with how clean the restaurant was. Having all those items on the wall and the ceiling plus having a well stocked store can make it challenging, keeping things dusted, organized and clean. It was a very pleasant environment to eat a meal in and to go shopping after in the store. It takes a lot of work and man power to keep a store with that type of inventory looking consistently clean, organized, dusted and welcoming. If anything, I would suggest that Cracker Barrel cut back on their inventory in the store and reduce the “artifacts” on the wall and ceiling. Again, thanks to Jonathan, Molly and Neil for contributing to a good experience at this Cracker...

We usually love coming here but this had to be the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant.. 45 min wait to be seated which was understandable due to it being a Sunday around 1pm.. unfortunately it took our server 30 minutes just to bring out water, it had to be another 15 min before the biscuits were brought out.. We waited over a hour for our food to come (wasn’t a crazy order, just combos of eggs and toast and pancakes). While waiting the hour, we saw plenty of plates come out to tables who were seated after us as well as being sent out for “to-go” orders. Before getting our food we saw another table be seated, receive their food, eat it, box it, and they left.. all before even getting our meals. The food came out and it was average, we were happy that it was at least hot at this point.. Not sure if it just due to the summer season, but the younger ladies working at this location seem like they are being paid to sit around a chat… When asking for a box for the food I wasn’t even interested in finishing, we had to get up and ask them twice for a box while they stood by the kitchen watching everyone else work. They brought out the tiniest little box when I had 2 pancakes, eggs, bacon, and toast to pack away.. when asked for a bigger one, they said “this is all we have!” accompanied by an eye roll. Shocking that this box is all you have for me to pack my food when you guys have huge boxes of takeout rolling out of the kitchen consistently. She didn’t want to work and she didn’t want to look and she didn’t want to help. Seems like working in a restaurant or in customer service in general may not be for you.. this may be your summer job but it is not a summer camp. Our server took a hour to bring our food but it only took her 5 seconds to drop the check after our food had arrived on the table. The host was amazing and so helpful, I could tell he was extremely frustrated by the lack of help from the staff. He continued to ask the other employees to help him and stop standing around talking, unfortunately they didn’t seem to care. The manager was very responsive to the situation and happily took the feedback we had given him. Overall extremely disappointed with this experience. We will not be going back to...

The service here is very poor. The food is average. We came in last night for dinner and went right to the host stand. We stood there for a good 10-15 minutes without anybody approaching us. There were 4 workers standing around the front , one of which was a server. They all kept looking at us and continued to stand there. All of the servers in the dining room kept walking by and making eye contact but never once grabbed anyone to help us. Finally as we started to walk into the dining room to find help, someone came from the back and was not very pleasant. She sat us at a dirty table, the table still had leftover food and liquid residue. We cleaned the table ourselves because we sat there without anyone coming over to us for about 10 minutes. The same waitress who was standing around at the front staring at us, came over and was very cold towards us. Asked us what we wanted and left to put the order in. We didn’t wait that long for our food, maybe 20 minutes or so. We ordered the fried pickles, never came with a sauce even though there was sauce in the pictures. We ordered loaded baked potatoes with our dinner and mine came out with sour cream on it and frozen butter in a cup on the side meanwhile my friend had the butter on hers with no sour cream. Not a huge deal but don’t bring out frozen butter on the side, it was useless at that point. I had finished my drink and had it on the end of our table thinking she would ask if I wanted a refill. She brought our food out and started to walk away after she said “enjoy”. We had no silverware, no napkins and she never offered to refill our drinks. After we asked her for silverware, napkins and a refill she seemed annoyed. She also dropped the check as she dropped off dinner, never offered the opportunity for dessert or coffee, etc. Practically rushing us out as she brought dinner out. It was about an hour before they closed but because we waited 10-15 to be seated, we ended up there past 10 along with another couple that came in behind us. At this point we were exhausted and wanted to leave since we drove 30 minutes to come here, so we didn’t ask for a manager because they were pretty much closing up the place. This was the second time we had bad service at...
