Usually, this is my favorite Marshall’s, but today was an odd experience. First, all of the shoes I was interested in purchasing only had one shoe in each box. Their matching shoe was nowhere to be found. Another shopper also commented on how disorganized the footwear section was. I gave up shortly after. After browsing a disappointing selection (they used to have amazing brands on the floor), I found a beautiful shirt that was on a rack close by. I snagged this awesome find and was on my way. I took one last lap, and overheard another shopper clearly in distress about misplacing an item to a worker. The Marshall’s associate, seemingly annoyed by the woman’s over dramatic reaction, began looking around for the item. I continued shopping while feeling bad for the associate, as people can be so petty and entitled these days. The customer, then went up to the worker and pointed at me saying something in a whisper. I assumed she must have been indicating that I had the “missing” item. I had thought the worker would have just told her “sorry you put it back and now someone else has picked it up.” But nope, the worker came to me without hesitation began reaching for my item and although she phrased it as a question, “can I have that back? It was being held for a customer.”, it was not actually a question. The worker, giving me no time to react, was already taking it out of my hands. At first, I felt embarrassed about possibly having taken something that was being held for someone else, but as the worker walked away from me, she turned to the other woman and said “you’re really lucky she handed that over…”. There was no tag or note indicating that it was being held…and most importantly it was on a random rack! The way she said it made it very clear that it wasn’t being held for the customer. It was kind of surprising that she would take it out of my hands no questions asked and give it to someone else. I guess next time someone has something else that I want, I’ll just tell them I had seen it first and have an associate remove it...

Read moreWent to purchase an item this afternoon that was on “Clearance - yellow tag (keep in mind 3 yellow tags over a red tag)”, and was told that the item could not be sold for the price that it was on clearance for. I spoke to the “manager” who stated that the item cannot be sold for the amount that it is marked.
Poor customer service. Several people heard the incident and walked out behind myself as well.
Never shop at this location. The prices are not the prices that are marked. Terrible experience and a...
