These are my rear brake rotors after they were turned at the Plymouth O'Reillys. They were not turned smooth. They have these very visible somewhat rough file like striations, and under braking now, I get sorta a whirring singing noise... with brand new pads of course. I think the noise is due to the rotors not being smooth. I think their lathe is defective or was not set up right. Looks maybe like cutting tool blade chatter to me.
