Hares and Hatters Bookshop — Local services in Pocatello

This is such a lovely local bookshop! I found tons of books I've been curious about and also a lot of new books I'd never heard of! I loved the displays and various sections. Their collections of classics could be expanded (honestly, their collection could be expanded in general, but I understand that they're small and relatively new❤️). I LOVED the layout of the store, also. I liked that Young Adult and adult fantasy were distinctly separate, so readers would be less likely to get confused about intended audience and content---smart decision! I also loved the children's books and the games! We bought two murder mystery puzzles there: I've been keeping an eye out for puzzles like this for my mom, and I've had no luck at stores like Barnes and Noble. It was a pleasant surprise to find them here! The lady working there was great. She read her book and just left us to browse, which is honestly exactly the experience I'd like in a book store. Pricing was a tiny bit confusing. Some items had a Hares and Hatters sticker and price on the back, but most books didn't. Cute and quaint little bookshop, which is wonderful, as it's small enough but has a diverse selection that doesn't overwhelm you while picking up your next read. It's nice having a bookstore in town again instead of running up to IF for Barnes & Noble. I'd much rather give my money to a small, local business and they can order books they don't have and they come within the week that you order them! No extra fees or anything. I was in town for a day and stopped by. There are hand written reviews from customers posted on some of the shelves pertaining to certain books or series. I hesitantly considered one of these and, after the keeper of the shop asked me a few clarifying questions about my reading preferences, as assured I would enjoy the series.
