Bee Waxed Cosmetics — Local services in Pontiac

I didn’t have a pleasant experience at all and don’t recommend this place. I went on a busy Saturday; they don’t have a system for knowing the order clients arrived — we had to manage that among ourselves. First red flag.

The person who serviced me (her station is in front of the register) tried to force me to use soft wax and argued when I asked for hard wax. I’m no esthetician, but I know what works best for me. At this point I don’t believe everyone in this establishment is a licensed cosmetologist or esthetician. I didn’t see licenses displayed — second red flag.

I should’ve walked out. I take full responsibility for my role in receiving garbage service.

I also know when wax is too hot — it was way too hot when applied to my skin. The employee got an attitude when I told her the wax was too hot. Third red flag.

She didn’t know what she was doing. She applied a big blob of wax and patted it. She didn’t even attempt to spread the wax. She pulled the blobs, but there was no rhyme or reason to how she did so, thus leaving an unreasonable amount of hair.

Other employees may be better. The one I had was horrible. I drove 30 minutes to this place based on the reviews. It’s a shame the people in the area have to settle for such...

I have been going to this place for years and for the most part have liked the way my brows turned out but yesterday was a disaster. I left the shop with half the thickness of brow that I went in with. I have a big event today that I will no longer be attending because it was decided without my consent that I needed to take off half my brow to regrow them. I went in to clean up around the edges and that’s it. I was not once asked if it was okay to take half of my brows off and I also had a few spots that I was bleeding from one brow. I liked the way my brows looked when I walked in, I just needed them cleaned up. I wish I was asked before something drastic like that was done. I may return after my eyebrows grow back to give someone else a try. This post is not meant to stray anyone away as I think this place is great but make sure you tell whoever does your brows exactly...

I highly recommend this place! I use to just come for eyebrow waxing but then Julie guave me samples of some Bee Fresh Herbal Hydrating Cleanser and Bee Pure pH Balance Toner and oh.... my.... gosh. My face not only feels amazing but even the clearness of it is so noticeable and I’d say it took me a consistent week and half to start noticing. I was even raving about it to my boyfriend and one day he said to me wow your skin is actually really soft. I’m not one to leave reviews but finding a healthy skin care routine brings the little happy things for me in my busy life. I’m getting keratin lashes next week and I would NEVER consider it but I seriously trust all of those girls and excited even if I can’t afford to keep getting it done. Treat yourself every now and then and enjoy! I only talk with Julie Jaz and Susie but love this place and their products speak...
