Terrible experience when I took items in for consignment for the first (and last) time. Extremely unprofessional, do not recommend. I took in 2 boxes of items from my mother's estate, not really sure what they would take. The lady who helped me was quick and seemed professional. She accepted 22 items. They never appeared on my account, and then 12 days later, I received a generic email that I had items to be picked up. I went in to the store and they brought out my box, still full. They actually accepted only one item, out of the 22 they had previously accepted. I did receive a semi-sincere apology, but was told multiple times how busy they are and that they are using volunteers. Clearly not training the volunteers. I asked why I didn't get a courtesy phone call since it was completely their fault, and again was told how busy they are and how it was "easier" to send the generic email without any apology or explanation.
And, to add to the fun, the item they kept will likely sell for $10 or less, of which I am entitled to 50%. They have a $12.00 minimum to cut a check, or it gets rolled over to the next month. Because they couldn't even bother to call me to explain what happened, I will never take anything there again, so I basically just donated a small...
Read moreIf you are looking for a place that mixes design, art and resale, congratulations, you have found it! My husband I and I like to help the planet (and our pocketbook) by filling our house with treasures old and new. We recently renovated our main floor using KalamazooKitty. A half dozen small tables (one is an old tool box), an old chicken coop for storage (so cute with baskets), a Pottery Barn table, and several upcycled treasures - vintage and on trend - found their way to make our very 1970's home. We sold the pieces we didn't want at KalamazooKitty. Our home no longer looks like the Brady family lives there, it looks like the farmhouse cozy we wanted. The stores are new every visit and we shop often. My husband loves the chalk paint and the booths with "good pickin's". I love all of it, it's my happy place. Visit both stores - there is always...
Read moreI’ve been meaning to stop here for the longest time as it’s always caught my eye but never got a chance to, I did today and I regret not checking it out sooner!! I don’t know what I was expecting but it totally exceeded my expectations. There’s a ton of variety between all the shops and there’s definitely something for everyone. From handmade soaps, to art, to decor, furniture, clothing, jewelry, crafts; just to name a few! There’s even a little cafe. The prices at all the shops were reasonable and yet nothing felt cheaply made, everything was very good quality. The employees were super friendly and there’s even a little cafe! Definitely worth checking this place out!! I...
