The show is juried, you get the best craftspeople available. I don't like all of it, but it's all innovative and technically proficient. For a free show, it's remarkably expensive :) There are a few food carts, and a stage for dance. The real show, though, is many booths displaying all manner of arts and crafts. I wish there was more woodworking, but that's a personal bias. Ceramics, glass, pencil drawing that looks photographic, metal working, fiber... A knitter made beautiful clothing from paper...

Read moreSo glad we are back in The Pearl with such amazing creations. What better way to show Portlanders do not give up or give in. It was 3 fun days people and dog watching in between shopping. Ceramics, paintings, rock, glass, felt, clothing and so much more. Such talent all in one place, love the colors and ideas. One of my favorites was the Found Object Robots. Everyone of them different with different items some new some old but all so cool. Read moreThe artists, vibes and creative work were all very much a delight! Serious talent in this event. Also we have a 4 month old baby, who feeding changing in the move & attempting to stay out of the sun, can be a real challenge. Especially in a still very much Covid environment, taking space through it all from others... Yet, Multiple vendors offered us their tables, chairs and offerings of comfort simply being gracious and kind straight from the heart. It’s said a lot about the quality of humans we met behind their art, too!...
