Revolutions Bookshop — Local services in Portland

St. Johns is a Portland neighborhood that is near and dear to my heart. As a long time resident of North Portland, Revolutions Bookshop is a jewel in the crown of the historic "downtown" St. Johns area. This tiny little whole in the wall is where Wayne the barber ran his barber shop for many decades. I remember Wayne and getting my hair cut by him years ago. Now, in his place and honoring of his memory is this lovely little book shop and don't ask me how they fit SO MANY FABULOUS BOOKS into such a tiny little shop but they did. They have also managed to make it look fantastic and feel like home. The owners tend to the shop and are always friendly and happy to help you find what you're looking for. LOVE this bookstore and the people who work here! It's a small space, but the selection is well-curated and there's always something fun to pick up. I've reached out a few times on instagram about certain titles and someone always responds the same-day or morning after. Even if they don't have a particular book in-stock, I've been able to order through them and receive it by the weekend. There were carts of used books $5 and under in front of the store. 📖 The store had a great selection of books from a variety of genres and from new and popular books to old favorites! ✨ The worker seemed very friendly and knowledgeable.
