I will 1000% recommend Harlow for your property management needs. This is my first experience renting out property with a property management company, and I will say that Harlow is knowledgeable with regards to Oregon tenant rules, responsive in communication, detail oriented, thorough in vetting the tenant, effective on finding the right tenant, patient with questions/concerns, and genuinely cares. I had spoken with several property managers and what stood out to me about Harlow and her company were not only her competitive rates, but also her patience to answer ALL questions and responsiveness in communication. After we signed our contract, she found several applicants looking to rent my condo, but she looked for the right long term fit. As the tenant has moved in for a couple of months now, it has been a smooth process and Harlow took care of all the details, everything! Harlow has made renting out my property a smooth process with minimal effort on my end. It is great to have a reliable property manager that you can trust. To give a couple of examples, 1) Harlow proactively engages with the HOA to smoothly support the move-in process for the tenant, and 2) if there is an issue or required maintenance, she immediately reaches out, and it is a discussion on how to solve the issue. She is very fair, cuts to the main points, and is a thought partner. Ultimately, she is very proactive, responsive, and communicative. She listens to you, will make suggestions, and comes up with mutually beneficial solutions. She makes you feel like your property is taken care of and she places a high priority to support your needs. Since I live across the country, Harlow has made this transition very easy and worry free. We interviewed 5 realtors before choosing Harlow Vernwald. Harlow has exceeded our expectations in every aspect of selling our home and with finding us a new home. Her marketing is second to none! She was easy to communicate with and returned our calls and texts in a timely manner. The bottom line is that she sold our home for over $90,000 more than some realtors would have listed it. It's hard to believe that she has a 5 star rating because dealing with her was VERY disappointing. She knew my finances - that I can pay a years rent - and yet tried to get an additional deposit out of me and kept the $50 application fee. I found the experience to be unethical, not personable and the entire interaction was full of red flags. I DO NOT recommend working with "Harlow". I felt like she was very dismissive, as she told me numerous times, during the application / approval process, if you aren't interested I'll move to the next applicant.
