Ramen for me is a 5/10 - so I wouldn’t come back for that particular menu item—like really, half an egg for a $16 bowl of ramen? Broth was good, but nothing to boast about. The sushi roll was decent, but wasn’t a fan of the sauce they added on top. The star of the show was the gyozos—probably one the the best I’ve had in a while. 2.5 star rating - probably won’t come back. Spent close to $60 for lunch and still wanted to pizza from Gracie’s (sucks they were closed then).

Be warned, they've started using those spaghetti type noodles. They're doing some redesign, the interior looks great! Rolls are delicious, staff are friendly, beer is reasonable. Even the broth and egg and everything*else* about the ramen is still phenomenal. But when the noodles are all wrong, what's the point? Server said she'd been getting complaints so I'm hoping they switch back to yummy chewy real noodles SOON!

Had the one veggie ramen option, the Super Veggie Ramen. Nice to have an option, but it was pretty bland. I liked that the broth is a bit creamy, and the pickled mushrooms were great, I just wish there was more flavor, umami, maybe a spicy option. In Japan I went to some ramen shops that had various sprinkles and toppings to add at the table to customize. Curry powder, vinegar, fried garlic, ground sesame seeds, etc.

I have been to this location two times. The first visit was right after they opened and the second was today. Neither visit was representative of a quality experience. Obviously, the first visit you can not fault this business for as they were working out the kinks, however after today's experience I am not sure I will ever return to this location again.

Today we arrived into the business around 1:30pm. The restaurant had about three tables total. Server/Order taker at the counter was not friendly and gave the impression that we were a bother for even being there. Not being a regular we asked questions which again seemed to bother the counter person. When we asked about a modification for a menu item, her answer was - "We have whats on the menu and it is what it is!". If modifications are not accepted that is fine, but it was the attitude and the presentation that was alarming.

Food came out timely, but again the service upon deliver was drop and go, not accommodating, when asking about plates we were instructed that they were inside on the counter.

The sushi was not well prepared - the rolls were not formed well and broke apart easily. Overall the food was lackluster and appeared not the freshest quality. Rolls did not have a lot of flavor and there was not much choice on the menu.

We have lived in St. Johns for over 7 years and we have been so excited to welcome the new restaurants in the community. I can get past an opening with kinks, but I can not get past poor service and poor food...

Super Rude Hostess I came to this establishment because my girlfriend recommended it and wanted to meet up for sushi. I got there early and there was a pretty big line the lobby was full. I walk in and look for a menu board there is one hanging and it doesn't have any ingredients on it just the names of the items. so I look for a different one. there is one on the outside of the door so I walk back outside and someone leaves behind me and leaves the door open and I was about to walk back in and the girl at the front counter has come out and glares at me and says we need to keep this door closes with more nasty tone then a power tripped teen and slams the door in my face. I just about lost it but I gave her the benefit of the doubt and waited for my friend. when I order she was still incredibly rude I asked about getting rolls made without deep fried shrimp in it and she said they don't sub they would just take it out and charge the same. I guess I was taking to long to order because she seemed to be irritated by me so I order and sit down. I end up seeing an acquaintance and he walks over to me to say hi and she flagged him down asked him what he was doing and where he was going that she could help him at the front counter. she was confused and told her he was just saying hi to me. he was so put of by her demeaner that he didn't order and just left. I wont be...

Pretty dang good ramen and sushi in the heart of St John's! I have been driving over to killingsworth for Japanese food for years and years and it is nice to have a local spot serving good quality japanese nearby finally. The only notes I have are the menu is pretty small and hot tea wasn't available when I asked for some. Pricing isn't really cheap or expensive, expect about $12-15 for a more elaborate roll or ramen bowl. Broth on the ramen I had was nice and the cha shu was better than a few other spots I've gone. Not quite as good as others. Overall a strong choice for good quality Japanese on the peninsula, probably the best ramen out this way with all others choices considered, sushi has some...
